I hope this won't need any explanation. Anyway, atm I'm preparing the new editorial. If things go well, I should finish the editing this week.

Damn. The editing on all of your videos are fantastic, the clips flow seamlessly. We’ll get great shots of animation followed by moments of effects work. (Not to mention music choice is never repetitive and matches the visuals perfectly AND shows off the fantastic scores of the series) Love your channel so much!

Damn this is some serious animation art, it's even better than many Disney and Ghibli works. It makes you feel that there's an ultra fast dron filming the whole fight

Compared to other artists on the Dragon Ball series, I would say that one subtle thing that stands out about Masahiro Shimanuki's style is that the characters somehow look like they have bones, muscles, and guts inside their bodies. They seems fuller (literally) and move more human-like.

He did the best kameha and Goku evading freezer punch is just too good. Best animator in DBZ

One of my Favourite Animators! His Art is Top with great Expressions and with great Animation Tricks to make hits more impactfull and Faster. But tbh I dont really have a impression of him in DBS
@ImAlexGoodwin6 жыл бұрын
His work in DBS isn't nearly as good as it was back then. But for reference, he did Vegito's final kamehameha all the way up to Zamasu punching Goku and Vegeta in 66, Blue Goku's kamehameha vs Bergamo in 81, Ultimate Gohan vs Blue Goku in 90, and Goku's/Vegeta's final kamehameha in 98.

I think it's because of bad scheduling that his work doesn't shine through in super and also yammy stiff designs

MM -DA it did in the buu saga
@majidaljaburi78705 жыл бұрын
Well one piece is the reason that his key animations in super was really bad in early episodes but in the universal survival saga he was better since he gain a little experience by doing yamamuro’s modern character design but I can’t wait to his key animations to narohiro shintani’s design and the shimanuki fans will arise

At first I was found myself mixing Shimanuki with Hisada in DBZ because they had similar approaches with art style
@cheesybread61356 жыл бұрын
Not really into his character designs but his fight scenes are the best.
@MrB-bg7qe4 жыл бұрын
I said the same thing about his character models. They're not bad, but not the best either. But his animation is fluid, the flashy colors, debris, explosions, clash scenes look good though.

Shimanuki, Meada, Masanuga, and Iwane are pretty good.
@dbanimators6 жыл бұрын
Maeda wasn't a regular animator and wasn't that great, Shimanuki got worse, Iwane is even better on Pokemon and Masunaga was mostly known for his corrections.

2:56-3:01, I remember you saying this was Tate before. I guess everybody can make mistakes.
@dbanimators6 жыл бұрын
You know what the problem is? Shimanuki was uncredited in the first episodes he supervised. It's easy to be confused, you can't fully trust credits. I make mistakes, but I deserve some more respect. If you rewatch DBZ, you'll see tons of uncredited animators, too. By the way, I never included the Vegeta bit on a Tate AMV.
@firesmash007 Жыл бұрын
3:46 holy f, that one's the single most epic scene from anime ever
Shimanuki y Hisada eran los supervisores de Tate, por lo que él heredó muchas de las características de ambos durante sus primeros años.

Of course he did. They started off at Seigasha. Tate's first key animation was on 67, the first episode with Shimanuki as a supervisor.

Tate used be known as "mini-shimanuki".
@MrB-bg7qe4 жыл бұрын
Shimanuki is the guy that animated seens with bright flashy colors, hyper(fast) fighting with high amount of debris, explosions with violent impacts/clashes. While his animation is smooth and fluid; I never really cared for his character models. They aren't bad, but never the prefer art style I would choose to run with. I prefer Maeda's models and the great animators he supervised and corrected.
