it was but for a first next Gen they didn't do so well because(though it has great graphics)is that they remove some of the most good things to the game like the world tournament, removing so many maps and only leaving you with four. And removing some of your favorite cutscenes and puting it in a fucking intro and leaving with most of the same looking cutscenes.

I liked DBZ Battle of z more than the others actually, I've spent allot of time playing it getting every single unlockable in it, I really liked it, ikr that it lacked allot of stuff, but be thankful that it's the only game that includes Goku SSJ God until now, it's a really cool game and I would you recommend buying it

i disagree i think they did a great job on the game ill admit its missing transformations in matches that would make it more exciting but each car has so much each transformation and the controls are fun once u get use to them when i first picked up the demo i was like wtf this controls are shit beat the little story i can play unlocked multiplayer and by then i was use to the controls ...... i played multiplayer and got my ass handed to me i was liek .... wtf is this i blasted him in the ass well i got use to it and started having fun .... yea its different its strange it needs a lil tweaking on controls to allow transformations and fusions but its amazing when the second one comes out im sure they will add a lot of things we want but till then get into an 8 person 4v4 battle and strive to master hell-zone grenade goku's charge the healing of gohan and krillens energies and stuff like that .... get use to it enough to stop thinking about what u dont like when u play it ..... and im sure ull like it ulll find things u do like ..... just like wit6h minecraft i know a lot of people who started playing it cus a friend was and they just wanted to chill they didnt like it they got use to it and stopped thinking about the shitty graphics and started enjoying it ..... on any game that has a lot of people on both sides of the fan bace and seems to different to be good ..... or only has a few problems that make u hate it .... get use to it stop thinking about it being a dbz game quit thinking about the no transformations in matches and sure as hell stop thinking about it not being what u expect and just play it as if it was a game that didn't belong to a show u like .... forget it has other games made for the same series and see if once u get use to the controls u can enjoy it. These transformations are EXTREMELY underwhelming, especially Goku's ssj 1 transformation, that one should be the most epic IMO considering how epic it was in the actual anime, but here its just as disappointing as every other transformation in this game, then the disappointment continues onto to Gohan's ssj2 transformation, not only was it underwhelming but WTF is up with android 16?! His head is suppose to be fucking detached from his body then Cell stomps on it while hes talking triggering Gohan's ssj2 transformation, but here... um yea I think the cut scene speaks for itself. So sad how DBZ games haven't had on point cut scenes since Budokai 1.

To be fair, Budokai 3's characters with little chat bubbles were handled better than some of these legitimate cutscenes. I would even say that Tenkaichi 3's in battle storytelling was done better than these cutscenes. I get what you're saying, but it doesn't mean these cutscenes aren't lacking.

AlchemicSaiyan I also get what you're saying and I agree for the most part,but I'm responding to those who are biased to the classics and can't remove the nostalgia vision to be unbiased and stick to games like "Budokai 3" and "Tenkaichi 3" and say the cutscenes of "Battle Of Z" were "terrible" when "Budokai 3" had no cutscenes or "Tenkaichi 3" being limited to only transformation sequences ingame story and even then the scenes were dumbed down...(Note:I don't hate said "Budokai Tenkaichi 3 nor "Budokai 3") such as SSj tranformation where comments are saying that it should be long as tenkaichi 3's, look at tenkaichi 3's it was barely anything he literally transformed as fast the video above,same for Gohan ssj2 and for Goku transforming into ssj3 that was never even shown in Tenkaichi.. Ultimate Tenkaiechi and staging Blast 2 are great DBZ games, I would say Ultimate Tenkaiechi is my favorite. But I would say the BEST one is Budokai Tenkaiechi 3.
