@@fizz6700 That's not true whatsoever. Z is much longer than the original series, Dragon Ball has 16 volumes while Z has 26. Dragon Ball would've been much shorter than Z. Most fans would've been thrilled, we've never seen the original Dragon Ball in a 3D game before, it would've been a better option than Z to start off the game series.

What I love is that you can tell there was serious passion put into this game. From the voice actors and cast to the people behind the scenes to the ost. There was love and care put into this game and I’m addicted to it. If you’re a DBZ fan or Dragon Ball fan in general then this is a must-buy in my opinion. Definitely a very fun journey!

@Just Another Guy A game can have great graphics, great moment to moment gameplay, great music and etc. And can score a perfect 10, but if you dont enjoy the game like for instance let's say.... I might get hate for this, but gow I found that to be fun but not insanely fun. I played it one time and couldn't touch it again bc the second time it was boring for me at least. Now something like witcher 3 of course that absolutely deserves all the credit it gets I absolutely love that game while others may find it dull again personal preference. Now when we get to kakarot. Yea ok sure it may not have the best missions or music or even gameplay, but I find it extremely enjoyable more so than xenoverse 1 and 2 I have both btw and fighterz i also have that. And I adore this game to death. I have been hype for this game ever since I saw it. It completely delivers for me in every way. Maybe not for you or anyone else who disagrees with me, but i enjoy it a whole lot. Despite its issues bc its issues do not matter to me. Sure it may not deserve a 10/10, but in my mind it does.

Honestly I don’t mind it’s flaws because no game is perfect. With that being said I think this game is perfect to me. It’s something I’ve been wanting since I was 12, I remember playing the legacy of Goku games and falling in love with an open world rpg dbz game. I always hoped they were going to make a remaster of those games and now there is a game that exist that is basically the legacy of Goku rpg + DBZ Sagas 3rd person view + upgraded burst limit graphics+ Xenoverse fighting style? This game blew me away.

Anyone else find the SINGLE VOICE LINE that will play for flying, firing ki blasts, jumping, encountering enemies incredibly annoying. Every time you perform one of these actions the EXACT same voice line or grunt will play for that specific action.

MrMarien13 nah lol it’s too repetitive and lacks depth in places that actually matter .. such as side quest , and the lack of options in terms of how to go through the story. Xenoverse had the right idea with giving us different races to choose from as well as transformations. Where they failed was to give us a compelling story that isn’t DBZ sagas related .. with all the fan manga and the new content from super they could have delivered a new plot that from the super in terms of side quest to fill in gaps. Like before the tournament of power being able to recruit different fighters to aid you in battle , such as Broly , trunks or even Bardock.. this linear path they keep choosing to retail what’s already established is boring and lackluster in my humbler opinion... and I love dragonball my comments are meant to help see our community grow so that we can demand better from toriyama and Toei

The game’s not perfect by any means but man I’ve enjoyed every minute I’ve played of it so far. This is the type of DBZ game I’ve been waiting for, and I’m hoping that this game works as a foundation for a bigger, better more intricate sequel with more varied and fleshed out side quests that changes up the main story so we’re not just getting the same thing we got here. Maybe thinking too far ahead as the game has only just come out but Kakarot has been that much fun so far for me I can’t help but see it as the game that new titles in the future should be looking to build and improve upon. Also, what this review said about cooking, it’s worth it, stat boosts from are permanent and they stack, so it has a massive benefit should you choose to focus on it.

Probably could of got a 9 or 10 if they actually took more time with this game. Dbz games are notorious for rushing out a game. Just take a little bit more time, and get things as close to perfect as possible. But at this point it's just a cash grab and it's obvious. @@rkoowned3606 fighterz is at least trying to be original with it's story. And it's fighting mechanics are not for casual gamers as it is a fighter as you can see from the name. I give props to it and xenoverse for introducing new stories because I have been playing the same Dragonball storyline since 2002. I believe the future of dbz games needs to stick with expanding the z universe instead of the original story.

A remake can be done 10 yrs later but at the end of a day it is still the same material And if a movie gets rebooted within 10 years or a game gets remade within 10 years people say its too soon so 7 is nothing by comparison. They were on the right track trying to mix it up for the past few years and maybe they could have tried a bit longer or made their open world game about an original story (maybe something more movie focused linking the original 13 movies together). Something we havent had in a long time is a dragonball game which is quite frankly a crime in itself.

I think one of the things that the majority of people miss (I know I did) was a side mission after the fight with Kid Buu. (Spoilers? Idk) The start of the game shows you Goku sitting next to Grandpa Gohan’s house saying “Piccolo, you came” followed by the two powering up. At the end of the game there’s a side mission you can activate as Piccolo at Kami’s Lookout by talking to Dende. The mission has you as Piccolo do something Piccolo has “never had the time for.” You go to Goku who is sitting next to Gohan’s house and it plays out exactly as the intro; full-circle and I completely missed it the first time through.

Food and meals are actually effective in the game. In this video, Gohan's level was 51 while facing Cell. In my play through, Gohan was level 58 while Cell was 52.
