I discovered this weird glitch. You see, I started a new game because I wanted to experience all the dlc's in order. For example, I played Bardock before I started the namek arc, to make it like a preview. Trunks, I play it during the android arc. I tried playing the new one as soon as i could, it was when Goku and Gohan were fishing in the very begining. For the fight against King Piccolo, it was teen goku who I was playing as. In case you wanted to know I was playing on the PS5.

@darickmendes969 I don’t mind DLC, but I’ll still prefer the game be refined for years and tested before it gets released. The game will sell like hotcakes regardless because Dragon Ball fans will eat anything up. But if it is rushed and only tested by two people, no thank you. There is a difference between a good game and a good Dragon Ball game. Spider-Verse is not only a great superhero movie, but a spectacular movie as well. Dragon Ball can use something like that for games, so just let the devs cook with the gameplay.

Is it bad that I just realized after watching this video the irony that Goku, born of a race of aliens that are known throughout the universe as barbarians with an unquenchable lust for battle, saved the planet from both King Piccolo and Piccolo Jr., who are born from a race of aliens who are peaceful and are essentially saints who’d be willing to help anyone in need by using their dragon balls to grant their wishes?

Just to clarify on this. Akira Toriyama created the concept of Saiyans and Namekians during the Saiyan saga. He did not plan very far ahead at all and has said he makes the story up as he goes really. Piccolo truly was a demon when he first appeared in the manga, hence why his demon spawn all look weird and nothing like actual namekian offspring. This would later be retconned that it was his corruption that made them that way. (Thats never mentioned in the story ever.) Kami truly was THE god. Goku was Sun Wukong practically and they gave him a werewolf gimmick. You have to always take Dragon Ball as it is during its time. For instance, Zenkai, that thing where Saiyans get stronger just for getting beaten up. Never shows up prior to Vegeta mentioning it because it was a BS way to just power up Vegeta. Goku in OG Dragon Ball NEVER just gets magically stronger after getting beaten up, he always takes an actionable route to getting stronger. Climbing Korin's tower made him stronger after nearly dying to Taopaipai, if he had Zenkai then he would have just felt stronger after already being beaten but he only felt stronger after his training with Korin. Tldr: Goku was not a Saiyan during this point in the story because Toriyama did not create the concept yet, and Piccolo truly was a demon because once again Toriyama was not going the whole intergalactic story route yet. Theres a reason all of that stuff just abruptly enters the story when Radditz shows up... hmm oh Piccolo is a Namekian! Wtf? So Kami never thought to mention previously he came here on a space ship? Piccolo who has the same memories really believes hes a demon!?

Pros of this dlc: - inclusion of ground battles - tien got some recognition - the music is fire in literally every part of this - the models look very nice - kid Goku fight - actual good replay at higher level boss fights post game Cons: - no tien open world (this one is pretty annoying) - I think there should have been atleast one more place in the world map (Kame house area I’d say) - no effect in the main game (e.g boost nimbus, first strike kamehameha, tien playable character in main game) - kinda short Other than that this dlc is good and I’d say is pretty worth it.

Likely because Yamcha and Krillin don't win their fights, and those are mostly inconsequential. Goku doesn't actually fight Chi-Chi, so they kept it accurate to the source material. Tien is the only other playable one since he not only wins his fight, but finishes his character arc here as well. They were not going to let us play as Piccolo, since he's the antagonist and there would be little point.

@@silversoul2770 in the case for Krillin and Yamcha, I feel they could have done something with it, after all a handful of the fights in the base game and in some of the dlc canonically end with characters losing, but you still get to fight them like Future Gohan Vs the Androids, or Vegeta vs. Final Form Freeza. I don’t think all the fights had to be playable, but only three fights is a bit of a let down to me. (Also, you could also have Kami be playable against Piccolo for kicks. Haha)

@leik7728 If you think you think about it from a gamers perspective, nobody wants to beat an enemy / boss, only to loss to them in a cutscene. The video game industry has been doing this for years and it has been infuriating. It would be even more infuriating if you shouldn’t be able to take damage from your story wise, but in gameplay they can defeat you no problem. Have you ever played a Superman game? It’s obnoxious to think that bullets can defeat Superman. In Superman Returns, they had to make it so the city had a health bar and if it dropped to Zero it was game over. There would be no alternative in some of these tournament fights. So cut out them out.

Im really excited to see this Roster. Tenkaichi games always made things interesting with what types of fighters we can play as or fight against. I see ppl on their YT channels saying no giants for this game. But idk about that Bergamo can transform himself bigger and i highly doubt you would put him in the game if he can't use such a transformation. I loved challenging myself in old Tenkaichi games vs nothing but biggest characters in team battles. So im hoping those team battles return. Keep what made Tenkaichi unique compared to Xenoverse.

I noticed a plot hole in the kami connection with piccolo thing. When they split demon king piccolo was the result of separating the evil within himself. But Goku killed that piccolo which means kami should of died as well. Piccolo jr is king piccolo's son. He's a completely different Namekian from demon king piccolo. Thus Kami should of died regardless of junior being alive or not for he isnt the split part, just the son.

not true. this wasn’t just some child. King piccolo put his essence into that. that’s y piccolo has his memory of his father. they call him a reincarnation. which is the same being.

@@curlymurrayy I get the feeling you dont get reincarnation. Best example is Uub. He was reincarnated but he wasn't buu. He was buu reborn good but not buu. So doesn't count. Piccolo jr is similar. He was still an egg from demon king piccolo, he's still separate. He gave his power to junior but that's it. I mean he even says so "my parents, just one, piccolo and he was kind enough to give me everything he had" I still think the rules don't exactly apply to reincarnation. They shouldn't. They're different entities.

​@@keybladegames_real Nah, they explain that King Piccolo essentially reincarnated into this new Piccolo. Does it make 100% sense? Not really, but that's the lore they're going with. There's even a moment in the manga or anime or maybe both where Piccolo reveals himself to Goku and you see the like soul of King Piccolo behind him as he speaks to Goku. He basically put his entire essence, life, and memories into the egg that would hatch into Piccolo and was rebirthed- not reincarnated like Uub. Uub was a situation where King Yemma heard Goku's wish to bring him back, so he captured Buu's soul and reincarnated him as Uub, Piccolo was done by himself.

The logic they used was that King Piccolo imbued his soul/life force into his reincarnation, so he didn't 'die' in that sense, ergo Kami didn't either. Whereas Kami was planning on killing Piccolo outright.

This DLC was absolutely FLAMEZZ🔥🔥🔥The only real problem is has is that it's pretty short as a story dlc, and they should have implemented the ground battle mechanism into the main game, which they didn't, what was very disappointing. But overall, at least in my opinion, this dlc is a 9/10🔥

If they make two extensions where we play the adventures of Goku as a child, during the red ribbon arc and the other the Demon Piccolo arc, it would be spectacular, these are two arcs that made Dragon Ball the reference that we know today.

I think kakarot(game) should have started with bardock vs frieza arc and sending goku to earth then: • play through Dragon ball story • dbz until final fight with kid buu • then you can choose which timeline you want to follow either dbs or gt

The new Bulma VA also didn’t understand how to deliver reacting to meeting teen Goku at all 😭 In the original Goku makes a comment that she’s a lot shorter than he remembers and she responses that he was a lot smaller, but not annoyed like in the cut scene, it was more in awe that our boy has grown up after so long
