Honestly in my opinion it wasnt worth it. It took so long, that type of animation can be made in 1 year. Take "goku vs saitama" as an example, that dude did a 20 minutes long animation that is slightly better than the actual anime animation in a couple of months and it WAS worth it.

The sound and effects design on this is so good. The beam attacks actually -feel- overwhelming and devastating in a way they rarely do even in Dragonball media. When Dende got obliterated especially I feel like it was one of the best 'overwhelming power straight up deleting somebody from existence' moments in fiction.
