Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:16 - Gatara Residences - Ancient Suburb Erik resumes in Gimli's house in the Gatara Residences. He is currently a Level 30 WAR/Warrior. He is in the midst of the Version 1 storyline "Glen Story". Erik spends 9 points in the Greatsword skill for a total of 22 and learns the trait Critical Rate +2% with a Greatsword equipped. He has 0 available skill points afterwards. Erik earns the accolade "Wild Attacker" for reaching Rank 4 in the Greatsword skill. Erik leaves Gimli's house. He exits to the town of Mount Gatara. 2:13 - Mount Gatara At the Post Office at F-6/F-7, Erik gets his Bazaar sales. He visits the Traveler's Bazaar at G-5/G-6 and lists more materials for sale. When he is ready to go, Erik Zooms to the Glen East - Gert Strait destination, Ogreed. 4:42 - Glen East Erik takes the exit at E-8 to Gert Strait. 5:10 - Gert Strait Erik starts at C-1 in the north of the zone. The northern cave is home to Muddy Hands; the player can see them on the field if equipped with the Subterranean Goggles from the Mini Medal exchange in Luckland. There are also Rumble Bees flitting around. There are sparkly spots in the northern cave but no chests. At D-3, Erik leaves the northern cave for a long natural bridge over the strait. In the middle of the bridge, he finds the Bridge Inn settlement at D-4. Across from the inn, Erik talks to Bajiedo (7:43). Bajiedo runs the Bungee Jump for 50 gold per session. Erik does the Bungee Jump. During it, Bajiedo tells him about an island visible in the distance. Doing the Bungee Jump gives the user the Starting Tension Boost effect for 30 minutes. While this is in effect, the player has a chance to have a tension boost at the start of battle. Erik chats with others at the Bridge Inn. He grabs another Treasure Eye Land Bell at the Item Shop. At the Depository beside the Inn entrance, he deposits most of his gold in the Gold Bank. Inside the Bridge Inn, Erik talks to Father Vic at D-4 and sets his Glen East - Gert Strait Zoomstone to the Bridge Inn destination. Upstairs in the Bridge Inn, a red chest on the balcony at D-4 contains an Evac-u-Bell (11:53). Erik leaves the Bridge Inn and continues southeast. At E-5, he enters the southern cave. This area is home to ghosts, so he equips the Occult Glasses in place of the Subterranean Goggles to see them. Otherwise, he would be constantly stumbling into them. Like the goggles, the Occult Glasses are available at the Mini Medal exchange. The ghosts in this area are Poison Trills. There are also Clockwork Cuckoos and Peekabogres. The Peekabogres are fairly tough defensively, and their shields have a high block rate. At D-6 in the northwest of the southern cave, a red chest contains 3 Single Phials (14:09). The southwestern exit leads to Landonfoot. Erik does not want to take this exit right now, but it is worth noting that this is the path to the next major city on Ogreed. At F-8 on the southeastern cliff in the southern cave, a red chest contains a Pitch Pearl (15:37). He has now opened all the fixed chests in the zone. At E-7, Erik finds a random blue chest with 520 gold (16:01). Erik takes the southeastern exit at F-8 to the Landon Mountains. 16:39 - Landon Mountains Erik starts at D-2 in the north-center of Landon Mountains. There are paths leading west and east. His path to Cloudtop Lake leads east then south, and all the chests in the zone are along this route, so this is the way he will go. At D-2, Erik finds a random blue chest with 360 gold (17:41). This chilly area is home to monsters such as Rotten Cottons, Powie Yowies, and Snow Sanguinis. A Rotten Cotton drops a chest with a Silver Cuirass+2, a Level 21 chest armor. This is marginally better than Erik's Iron Armor Top, so he takes and equips it. At G-2, a red chest in the northeast contains a Magic Beast Bone (20:26). At G-4, a red chest contains 3 Silkblossoms (21:08). At H-4 in the east, a red chest contains 3 Hardy Hides (22:32). At H-6, a red chest in the southeast contains 320 gold (23:08). Near the teleportal to Clifftop Lake, Erik finds a crystal at G-6 (23:38). He could set a Zoomstone to this location, but he does not. At G-5/G-6, a red chest just north of the Clifftop Lake teleportal contains 3 Single Phials (23:50). Erik has now found all five fixed chests in this zone. Erik takes the teleportal at G-6 to the Clifftop Lake. 25:04 - Landon Mountains - Clifftop Lake A cutscene takes place as Erik arrives on the frigid Clifftop Lake. Well, there's our dragon! After the scene, it is boss time against Gilgish (25:55). Gilgish's abilities include Ice Press and Freeze Drop. Erik and his party soon defeat Gilgish (26:56). Erik reaches WAR Level 31 and earns 4 skill points for a total of 4 available. A cutscene takes place after the battle (27:19). The Gloris Tree appears, and Erik acquires the Droplet of Gloris key item. Erik must now return to the Throne Room in Glen Castle. Erik gains control on the Clifftop Lake after the scene (28:09). Gilgish left behind a purple chest with a Bonus Orb L. There is also something interesting to examine at D-7/D-8. Huh. Erik Zooms to the Glen Castle Town - East destination. 30:01 - Glen Castle Town Imari at G-6 has story info. At the Post Office at E-3, Erik gets his latest Bazaar sales. In the Inn, Miona at E-6 also has story info. Hers is more relevant to the situation at hand. Erik rests at the Inn. At the Traveler's Bazaar at E-4, Erik puts a few more items up for sale. Up on the Glen Castle Entry level of town, Erik enters Glen Castle at D-4. 35:14 - Glen Castle On floor 2F of the castle, Erik talks to Nidolf at E-4/E-5 (36:14). Nidolf admits him to the Throne Room, where a cutscene with Captain Jidan and King Bagudo takes place. Captain Jidan and his squad have a little difficulty getting the king to take his medicine! Afterwards, much is explained. Erik earns the Black Key Emblem key item. This is his second Key Emblem. He also earns 18,800 EXP and 2,400 gold. This concludes the Version 1 storyline "Glen Story". Erik gains control in the Throne Room after the scene (44:22). Erik reaches WAR Level 32 and earns 5 skill points for a total of 9 available. Erik earns the accolade "Savior of Glen", awarded to those who've made the effort to save Glen Castle. Erik can now chat with King Bagudo, Minister Chigri, Captain Jidan, and other NPCs in the Throne Room. When he is done in here, he takes the door at D-4/D-5 out of the room. When Erik has finished in the castle, he takes the door at H-4 on floor 1F out of Glen Castle. 50:07 - Glen Castle Town Several NPCs in the city have new dialogue now that Erik has completed "Glen Story". A few have changed their tune. At the Traveler's Bazaar at E-4, Erik puts another material up for sale. Erik talks to Ban at B-4 (53:49). Ban issues Quest 007: "Herbal Warrior & Rich Soil". He asks Erik to acquire Muddy Hand Mud from Muddy Hands out in the south of Glen East. No problemo. A teleportal has now appeared at G-5 since Erik completed "Glen Story". It provides transportation to key destinations in Glen Castle Town and Glen Castle. At the Post Office at E-3, Erik gets his Bazaar sales. Erik takes the exit at H-6 to Glen East. 58:29 - Glen East Erik equips the Subterranean Goggles, which allow him to see subterranean enemies in the field. In the southeast of Glen East, Erik begins encountering Muddy Hands around E-7 (1:00:04). After a couple of battles, Erik acquires the Muddy Hand Mud key item from a Muddy Hand (1:00:38). He must now deliver this to Ban in Glen Castle Town. Erik Zooms to the Glen Castle Town - East destination. 1:01:10 - Glen Castle Town Erik reports to Ban at B-4 and delivers the Muddy Hand Mud (1:01:52). Quest 007: "Herbal Warrior & Rich Soil" complete! Erik earns 5 doses of Special Medicine. He also earns 6,240 EXP and 26 Fame Points. Erik reaches WAR Level 33. He earns 1 skill point for a total of 10 available. At the Traveler's Bazaar at E-4, Erik puts another material up for sale. In the Post Office at E-3, Erik talks to Stationery Shop Aono at D-4 on the Depository/Post Office level (1:06:23). After exiting her sales menu, he agrees to do her a favor. Aono issues Quest 020: "Glen Castle Evening", Glen's postal stationery quest. She asks Erik to acquire Sunset Stone from certain "blue rocks" that can appear in the cul-de-sac in the east of Glen East or in the Zama Pass zone, which is a ways to the south. Talking to Aono again reveals that these "blue rocks" are "oddly smiling". Interesting... Erik talks to Postman Bosta and gets his latest Bazaar sales. After leaving the Post Office, Erik takes the exit at H-6 to Glen East. 1:08:55 - Glen East Erik follows the road east and then northeast from Glen Castle Town. He goes northeast through the pass at F-4 to the eastern cul-de-sac. Around F-4, Erik begins encountering Rockbombs (1:11:23). These are of course the oddly smiling blue rocks. After a few battles, Erik acquires the Sunset Stone key item from a Rockbomb (1:12:43). He must now deliver this to Aono at the Post Office in Glen. Description continuation: 1:13:23 - Glen Castle Town In the Post Office at E-3, Erik talks to Stationery Shop Aono at D-4 on the Depository/Post Office level (1:14:00). He delivers the Sunset Stone. Quest 020: "Glen Castle Evening" complete! Aono gives Erik a sheet of Crimson Lotus Paper, which is now available at her Stationery Shop. Erik also earns 1,020 EXP and 17 Fame Points. Nice paper. However, Erik does not need the Crimson Lotus Paper, so he sells it to Aono. In the Tavern at D-2, Erik talks to Priest Guive at E-2 (1:17:28). He chooses "Change Voca[tion]", which is in yellow. The priest issues Quest 034: "Abbey Trials". This is available from the Alltrades Priest at any Tavern once the player is Level 20 or higher in their starting vocation. Erik must prove his worth before he can change his vocation. In Glen West, he must go to the Cliff Zone in the south, defeat a Golem, and bring what he acquires from the monster to any Alltrades Priest. Erik exits west at A-2 to Glen West. 1:19:29 - Glen West Erik follows the road west from Glen Castle Town. At F-3, he goes south through the break in the fence to the Cliff Zone, where tougher monsters begin appearing. Erik begins finding Cumauli, Paralyslicers, and Aggrosculptures. Erik earns the accolade "Demon Study Assistant" for defeating 50 or more unique types of monsters. In the windmill area in the south of the Cliff Zone, Erik encounters a Golem around F-6 (1:24:15). Golems are tough early in the game. They can psyche up and lay on the hurt. Erik's team defeats the Golem (1:24:51). He earns the Ascertaining Stone key item. He must now deliver this to any Alltrades Priest. Erik Zooms to the Glen Castle Town - East destination. 1:25:29 - Glen Castle Town Erik takes the teleportal at G-5 to "In front of Tavern". In the Tavern at D-2, Erik talks to Priest Guive at E-2 and delivers the Ascertaining Stone (1:26:10). Quest 034: "Abbey Trials" complete! Erik earns the ability to change his vocation. He earns 4,080 EXP and 34 Fame Points. Erik can now talk to Alltrades Priests to change his vocation. Many Alltrades Priests, such as Guive here, are in Taverns, though a few are conveniently located in high-traffic locations. Erik can now switch between WAR/Warrior, PRI/Priest, MGE/Mage, MRT/Martial Artist, THF/Thief, and MIN/Minstrel. Each vocation has a unique skill. For instance, WAR has Courage. Any "Natural" traits that he earns in a vocation's unique skill will benefit other vocations. For instance, Erik has earned the Natural Resilience +5 and Natural Strength +5 traits from the WAR's Courage skill; other vocations will benefit from these boosts, too. Unique skills may also provide nonexclusive abilities that other vocations may use. For instance, Erik has learned the Morale Masher ability in the WAR's Courage skill, and he will be able to use this ability in other vocations. Many vocations, especially the base ones, have boosts that are universally helpful. Outside the Tavern, Erik Zooms to the Gimli's House destination in the Gatara Residences. 1:28:28 - Gatara Residences - Ancient Suburb Erik enters Gimli's house, rests, and signs off.
