I’ve lived in Texas (Houston) for 40 years, and I still can’t believe how damn hot it gets. Plus it’s 90% humidity, so the minute you get out of the shower, dry off, get dressed, and open the door to go to your car, you have already sweat through your shirt! That’s not even a joke!! I come from a long line of excessive sweaters, and I always carry extra t shirts. This year it hit earlier than usual. I worked in the oilfield in South Texas for several years. We got to the rig one day, and the thermometer that was on the outside of the company man’s trailer (in the shade) read just over 110 degrees! We had to wear full fire retardant coveralls, and always ended up covered with oil based drilling mud. You could feel yourself cook! It was impossible to drink enough water! I cramped up so bad at times, I couldn’t uncurl my fingers to grab the pack of cigarettes out of my shirt pocket!

Dude, dragons breadth in southern AZ is no joke this time of year with super dry grass, 100 - 110 F, and 10% RH, not a good combo. That shit will light up 1,000 acres with a tad bit of wind in no time. Not talking from experience but I just won't do it. Hell, I won't even shoot metal targets for the possibility of catching the grass on fire.
