If I wanted to have the very start of a story opened up to me with a cutscene being acted out and with music for the first time it is shown to me and then some dude comes along and tells me what happens before I can experience it the way it was meant to be experienced, then I had just been spoiled... A spoiler can happen anywhere. I didn't want to be told, I wanted to watch the story...

@@brenomendes6247 Maybe because a lot of the reviews I watch are them talking about how well it handles or if there are glitches and so on and usually skip telling detailed story stuff to avoid spoilers. When they do, they announce a warning about spoilers. But like I said, what I usually watch doesn't talk about story in detail. I have only watched yahtzee reviews after I played a game but never really watched escapist ones. KZbin was all "hey look, escapist reviewed a game you are interested in" and I was doing things and needing background noise, so I clicked it. I had no idea they would just start off with spoilers and without a warning.

I hope the suits give you guys some leeway as you figure out what the channel even is now. Honest feedback: try to be your own thing once you feel confident enough. What originally drew folks to the escapist was distinct personalities that differed from the generic IGN-tier blandness. You're never going to be the previous folks but you also don't have to be them. You're you. Regarding dragons dogma 2 I'm giving it a pass since it feels like a bad meeting point between older gaming and newer gaming. They dropped the ball on too many fronts.

Second Wind literally put up a post warning people not to give abuse to those doing their job working on new Escapist videos, yet some comments below are thinly-veiled trolling. Second Wind have spent years mastering their craft in places such as the Escapist - give these new guys at Escapist a chance to develop also. Constructive criticism such as the narrator's delivery isn't wrong but should be communicated respectfully. Gamurs was/is the problem, not the Escapist. PS, fuck the microtransactions added post-launch.

A bit of feedback for Brett. I think your voice volume was fine tbh. But you might have wanted to do some more takes at the beginning. Once you get going, it was clear you were enthusiastic for the game, but the beginning was a bit stilted. Good luck tho
