If you play videogames for some time it's not hard to see how bad the gameplay video is. Bad main character animation, props and NPCs seems to be glued on top of a big terrain like random assets. Even by the video demo it's easy to see how clunky the movement is.

The demo combat didn't feel clunky at all. The movement felt good, both in combat and through the world. The story is totally rote in the usual dark fantasy "everything has gone to hell" kind of way, but past that, I totally enjoyed the entirety of the demo.

I totally enjoyed the demo, and I'd never even heard of the game before this past NextFest. I loved the movement set for both combat and traversal, and absolutely agree that the story as given in the demo is entirely by the book and rote. I honestly wasn't expecting anything, and it did everything right for me.

​@@SBE1 eh, honestly not having a character creator is the least of the problem this game has. no animation cancelling for attacks, games way too easy for a souls like or rather a souls lite even on the hardest difficulty, a cheap shot from the first boss that gives you no room to actually dodge and a bonus system that doesn't actually decay over time and the only penalty is losing the bonus if you get hit. of course you arent suppose to beat the first boss but the attack is cheap and feels like the devs basically telling players to move along with the game
