For anyone getting an odd looking screen like a blur on the top and bottom of the screen inside or it seems like you have double vision outside, turn off the games DoF. I'm not using enb to be clear. However, if you see this and you are using enb you can try the same.

It's a real shame that even with Agnostic Dragon ultrawide still doesn't work very well in this game. UI elements are stills screwed up, they're not positioned correctly, the mouse doesn't work properly in menus and the map is bugged. A real shame Capcom hasn't fixed this and implemented simple 21:9 support themselves. I know they weren't going to put a lot of effort into what is a essentially a 2012 game, but still :(

Yeah the map is just completely fucked and the UI as a whole is unusable with a mouse. Sad to have the black columns but they're preferable to playing a game in a broken state.

So i followed the tutorial up until ENB, after i extracted the files to DDA folder in steam, Dragons Dogma no longer will launch. I hit play, and it begins to start, then the play button turns back to green and nothing... :/

*THIS NO LONGER WORKS* as of 3-25-2024. After you do the EMB part, when you start the game you get a black window with the cursor. Then you need to reinstall the game. Im using a RX 6600 XT with a Ryzen 5 5500 & windows 11 Pro 22631 if that matters

do you know if it's normal that during cutscenes, the subtitle is right in the center of my monitor? my res is 3440x1440, 21:9, also cutscenes feels like streatched. pre rendered cinematics, more specific the intro after tutorial, is cropped, horizontal stretched and partial black bar on top and bottom of the screen.

I am running 3440x1440 resolution on my ultrawide monitor's. I followed all the instructions but it seems the d3d9.dll will not allow the game to load at all. I get a windows error code Application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000005) when launching. When I remove the d3d9.dll the game launches but obviously w/o fixes. I tried the alternate version as well with the same results. Is there a problem with the d3d9.dll or any way for me to fix this so I can play this game?

Would you happen to know why Dragon's Dogma simply does not launch when using Agnostic Ultrawide. When running it it begins the app and closes itself in the steam process. It only works when I remove the d3d8 dll that came with the zip.

Yes, that tells you things like fps, temp, and ram usages. Things like that. People mostly use it in games to check fps. You can set one up with msi afterburner and other softwares. Sometimes games have one built in like Minecraft.

@@low-kari solved the problem. Just for everyone who needs it. Disable DOF: with or without the fix, Depth Of Field causes artefacts in aspects higher than 16:9 and must be disabled. The in-game setting is of no use as it doesn't disable DOF in cut-scenes, so a manual edit is required: %LocalAppData%\CAPCOM\DRAGONS DOGMA DARK ARISEN\config.ini Stereo=ON

Great video. One question, any way this may work with ReShade? I know it also uses a d3d9.dll file, and I tried fixing it the same way you fixed the first one, hoping maybe installing it would create a ".ini" file with all the "Architecture", "Role", and "When" variables I'd need (since idk how that works), which I could then just add to the bottom of the ".ini" that includes the other 2 ".dll"'s but sadly installation did not create any such ".ini" file Any ideas?

IMPORTANT: last step I did not mention in the video, disable DOF completely, or ultrawide might not work correctly. Turning it off in setting does not completely disable it. Navigate to %LocalAppData%\CAPCOM\DRAGONS DOGMA DARK ARISEN/config.ini and make sure "stereo=TRUE" It was in the description and fixes the weird halucination looking things.

Sadly there is no fix for the map that doesn't destroy something else. As recommended on the authors page, you should press ctrl + alt + shift + a everytime u interact with the map. This turns aspect ratio correction off. If you leave the map menu, you can press the shortcut again to enable it.
