That's the thing - in the original, Krillin yelled "Cell is gonna regenerate himself!" right before his lower half leapt back up, so he either he knew, or suspected enough to warn Goku, but didn't think to mention that regeneration of any kind was feasible for him. (Because remember, first two times he regenerated - 16 ripping off his tail and Vegeta blasting off his arm - no one present at the time had seen him regenerate before.) Just seems weird not to throw in "Oh, hey, Goku, before you fight, you should know he can regenerate his body parts. Maybe his whole body, but I saw him grow back an arm. Have fun." xD

The Instant Transmission actually saw a decent amount of use in Super. They brought back the Instant Kamehameha at least once (that I can remember), and both Goku and Black used it in the Future Trunks arc. He used it a good number of times in the Tournament of Power too, I think.

Something I saw on twitter yesterday that I find interesting. Takahata101 is currently voicing 3 different major villains that are about to be defeated in 3 different finalies this year (Hellsing, DBZA, and Yugioh abridged). The fact that all 3 characters have their own feel shows how talened he is. Also, this will be the last time MasakoX voices Gohan. His Gohan may be somewhat overshadowed by other characters on DBZA, but there's no denying he brought something unique and memorable to the table. And episode 60 is the Gohan episode anyway so I'm sure he'll be epic.

The thing about this that I find hilarious is that it's the complete opposite of how Goku handled it in the original. Goku WAS giving Gohan a choice, not an ultimatum, but actually talking to Gohan about what he thought of the fight and whether Gohan was okay with going up against Cell. There's someone that did an analysis on this and really did it well, even pointing out that Gohan's entire love for Piccolo as a parent is nothing more than Stockholm Syndrome.

The only time i know of Goku truly, properly using instant transmission is during the Metal cooler Movie where it turned out Cooler had a form of instant transmission and that was the only way Goku could keep up and stop him from sneak attacking Vegeta repeatedly.

They def use instant transmission a lot in super, if not more than the original series. He does it in his first fight against Beerus, even. He does it in like every arc, dude lol. Hell, in the last arc of super he fights a warrior from another universe that is the same species that taught Goku the technique after Namek....it's not that OP because you still have to attack after you teleport and you have to focus while doing it. Which is the whole point of goku charging his attack before teleporting. It's really not that OP considering the mechanics of how it works.

Did Goku actually steal techniques? I mean, its not stealing if someone literally teaches you the technique. I don't know every technique he does, but from what I recall they were either original creations, saiyan abilities, or things taught to him.

I can think of a few. Roshi never actually taught Goku the Kamehameha, he just copied it after seeing Roshi use it to blow away the Ox King's mountain. I also don't think Tien ever actually taught Goku the Solar Flare, and while it's not the most complex move, the same goes for Krillin's Destructo Disk. Goku even copies Krillin's Destructo Disk Triple Blade move in Super, though he does add more and turns it into the Destructo Disk Hexa Blade. Then there was also the time Goku copied King Chappa's eight arm move to counter Tien's four arm move. Lastly, while it didn't happen in the anime, Goku also copied Beerus' Hakai in the Super manga.

What's bullshit is that a point blank Kamehameha only drestroyed less than Half of Cell's body even though he was near-completely engulfed in the blast Instant Transmission was a taught move, it's not stolen if you're taught it, or else everyone is speaking stolen languages People like to use this to criticize Goku, but tell me this: Was he Wrong? Was Gohan not strong enough to Defeat Cell? Did defeat lead Cell to be humiliated? Did Goku step in the moment his son was in danger to save his son's life in exchange for his own? That Point Blank KHH should have vaporized most of Cell's body, so I agree with it being BS. But...it doesn't change the fact that Goku doesn't have an original Ki attack that is not based on his other moves (so Dragon Fist is also not on the table)
