I was blown away with this box set and for the price it costs. You never get the full rule book with sets

I'm reading through this game, now. I'm a LONG time Basic Roleplaying fan, so finding this cool game with BRP in its DNA that seems to be something of a recent hit is very cool. Now...to get it to my table....

Yea, I dabled with Basic Roleplaying years and years ago, well I guess more so Rune Quest, but yea Dragonbane is definitly channeling that chemistry, which I couldn't be more happy about! I'm hopefully going to get a friend or 2 to give it a go.

My reading of the rules was that when you rolled your attributes you rolled the dice and then decided which attribute to assign that number to before rolling the dice again instead of rolling them in order, but maybe I’m reading it strangely.

That is not far from the truth. A better title maybe, "come hang out as I fumble through Dragonbane character creation".

@@twohandedboardgaming it's okay, I volunteer for youths at a local library and had these kids roll up thier own characters, when previously they were stuck with pregens

The response was a great as these were their characters, then they preceded to commit murder and engage in light cannibalism. The joys of teaching kids I guess.
