Given mixed responses here on Goji 2024, I suppose what was appreciated about the MV Godzilla was that each director who evolved the character did so in a way that felt like a natural evolution. Increments. Gareth made a primordial/Nature forged Godzilla - designed with the idea that it could have been what inspired Toho's Godzilla and their films. Dougherty built upon that - taking literal aspects of Toho's Godzilla and adding them. All while adding a more muscular form with predator attributes. Wingard's Godzilla looks to give him different spines, a unique and stand-out crown on his head, spiked elbows, spiked tail, and different colors for the spines. And more noted on - while Godzilla is still muscular, he is much slimmer. I'm thinking of it now. Yeah, increments are the key. Wingard could have given the MV Godzilla his new crown, his new spines, elbow spikes, and new atomic color. And that would have been enough - because that would feel like a natural evolution, and not what some fans may feel is an overhaul.

Based on new toy leaks the gauntlet Kong is wearing, it mentions the ability to store and release electrical charges (something to that nature). I'd also expect to be seeing him with some sort of reference to his Showa appearance given that new info.

I’m definitely excited for GxK, I see it as a fun film. Although, there’s some aspects I wish to see and well I wish it didn’t occur. Idk how to take Godzilla seriously with that whole pink colors scheme, Godzilla being pink to me is offsetting. Purple or red would’ve been better I honestly want to know why he’s pink or what’s the significance of that. Idk if the movie will even explain it tbh. I’m concerned that may not even be the case especially with at least giving a couple snippets of lore about the Titans in the Hollow Earth and shine some light on Godzilla’s background.

I’m thinking that this film is going to build on the lore, especially if the rumor of Shimo is true. My theory is that all of the titans lived in the Hollow Earth and were forced onto the surface by Shimo. It could be that Shimo controlled all species of titans but the titans started to evolve and overcame his control. The titans that were still under Shimo’s control were made to fight the free titans which is why there’s the graveyard in the Hollow Earth. It wasn’t just the Kongs fighting the Zillas, it was the free titans fighting those still under Shimo’s control. The survivors left the Hollow Earth and started terraforming the surface just by their presence which is why life started on the surface. This could also be the reason King Ghidorah came to Earth. He didn’t go to lifeless planets so once the titans created an ecosystem it attracted King Ghidorah. I think Scar King is being controlled by Shimo which is why his eyes have that bluish white glow to it, which are the colors that are prominent with Shimo. Scar King and the other Kongs are basically a royal guard being used to protect Shimo while he sleeps. Scar King will be freed and it will cause Shimo to awaken. I wouldn’t be surprised if Godzilla is controlled at some point which would be a throwback to the old movies.

Honestly, I think Godzilla is about to become Space Godzilla, the purple/pink color shift and the huge amount of crystals going on makes me think his next evolution will make him an ironic echo of Ghidora, a space-borne predator and terra-former, except he's turning things 'terran and viable' and less 'alien & inhospitable' . I think a certain blue lizard is going to become Godzilla's mate, albeit for a short time, and we'll get Godzuki and/or a few additional eggs that might be a more direct hybrid of the two Titans, but enough to ensure Titanus Godzilla does not die out. Kong is gonna start a family with the Titan Ape tribe, and it looks like Diddey Kong might end up being the Adopted Heir to that legacy, alongside Kong's own biological offspring. But the greatest question of all ... WHEN DOUG? WE WANT DOUG!

Idk dawg, me personally, id rather the Monsterverse doesnt just recycle a bunch of Showa era concepts to provide endless finger pointing fan sevrice moments. If i wantee to see goofy Showa stuff, id watch a Showa movie. If i wanted to see Godzilla get a lightning powerup, id watch vs Mechagodzilla or Against Mechagodzilla. Not even gonna bother going to see it; after Kong got curbstomped by Godzilla in the last movie, it's clear to me that the writers/director have zero respect for or idea how to portray Kong properly. I firmly believe that Kong would beat Godzilla nine times out of ten just on agility, intelligence, and stamina alone - no lizard would ever truly have a chance against a higher primate. So I'm checked out of this series. Maybe Legendary can get me back as a viewer with a Pacific Rim 3. Maybe.
