Thank you so much for reacting to something other than through the fire and flames. Soldiers of the wasteland is my favorite song.

Love seeing a fellow DreamTheater and DragonForce appreciator.

I personally found DragonForce before GH3 and before I found Dream Theater. Sonic Firestorm was my first album. Highly recommend the entire album. Also I heard you mention Rhapsody of Fire!

Their song "Cry for Eternity" has some of the most crazy soloing I've ever heard.

This is my favorite DragonForce song. Good pick, Remy! At my best, I have achieved 4 stars out of 5 on this song on expert on Guitar Hero 3. I played every GH game and loved them, and IMO no song ever quite rose to this level of difficulty (although a few were close). As for being "gimmicky", I wouldn't describe them as soulless, but I do understand sentiments that they are kind of a one-trick-pony. I love them, and they are incredible, and this one type of song that they do, they do EXTREMELY well. But to a certain extent, once you've heard one DragonForce song, you've heard them all. That doesn't stop it from being very enjoyable though, so you should definitely check out more.

As a long time fan of Dragonforce, I would suggest listening to Starfire, and also Three Hammers. They are amazing live. Great reaction video also.

As far as gimmick-ness, I can remember when the first wave of ttfaf popularity hit, people called them StudioForce. They struggled live, especially considering how much harmony from guitar and vocals they couldn’t reproduce with only 2 guitars and 1 singer.

So, Valley of the Damned is the main song from the same-named first album. This song is from their second, and TTFAF is from the third. Fourth is the last with their first singer. That’s a basic history as far as context for this and ttfaf.

I highly recommend the songs Starfire, Three Hammers, E.P.M. , and Strike of the Ninja. These are some of my other favorite songs.

Some of their newer songs are insane as well. The Game from the 2013 album Maximum Overload, Body Breakdown from Inhuman Rampage, Burning Heart, Pixel Prison, and Killer Queen from Warp Speed Warriors are insane. They’re just allergic to making a song that is slower than 200bpm.

I saw them on the Inhuman Rampage tour in the UK, Totally Awesome and yes even faster live. The Keyboard player played supermario in his solo slot!

I saw them already twice... the first one as an opener for Nightwish during the Festival du Nimes in South France couple of years ago, second time earlier this year as an opener for Amaranthe. (Btw. Check out Dragonforces "How to write a Nightwish song in 5 minutes" ^^ during lockdown they were streaming a lot and came up with this stuff- and a new "Nightwish" song made by Herman Lee was born: "Plastic Tree"... so funny.

Great reaction ! I recommend you to react Dreamcatcher, it's the only group of kpop that incorporates rock and metal into their music and they are very talented.. I recommend the new comeback "justice" 🔥😊
