It's horror and maniacal _Black Parade_ has the alternative rock & 70s Bowie/Queen influence with a dash of Smashing Pumpkins _Danger Days_ , well, a hint of electronic elements and a lot of pop-rock with those 70s influences

Actually that's kind of what made DF great in the early days, the uplifting simple chords and melodies which were very much like pop-punk, obv talking Valley and Shadow Warriors demos era :). Metal bands just didn't do that, esp power metal bands, some did but it didn't work the same.
