Love the work that you are doing including QGIS, cannot wait to deep dive further into your videos using my dragon thinpad, krakensdr, and hackrf in march when i finish my international relations grad degree thesis, still watching your videos so i can hit the ground running when i have the time to start studying your methods more

Thank you for mentioning the RDF-Sim software. I have not heard about it before. It seems to be quite useful - I am now running a simulation of a real-world setup that I am intending to deploy in the next couple of days. Quite fascinating to see on the screen an approximation to what you are only planning to obtain from a future experiment.

I never tested the gps tie in, but you should be able to feed in real world gps along with simulated lines of bearing!

If I deployed 3 x KrakenSDR nodes but didn't have access to WiFi / internet could I network them together over LORA? I'd like to use a GoTenna but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to make it work with an RPi

Well so I’ve ran a tunnel over meshtastic to accomplish ssh from one system to another, it’s slow, but in this case DFA is just needing to reach out across the network and grab a small amount of info.. so it should be possible.

@cemaxecuter I think the GoTenna sticks would be good for this because the baseline model is inexpensive and should suffice for a mesh node if one could get it to work with a RPi. I have tried and so far have failed. If you want to take a crack at it I can send you two of them to mess with.

@@cemaxecuter7783 could you do a video covering how to ssh into systems with meshtastic?

I need to probably do it again and make sure it’s still working with newer meshtastic, but here’s the one I did before on this very topic. DragonOS Focal HackRF Sweep GUI + RTLSDR RF Survey w/ SDR4space Over LoRa (TBeam, Meshtastic, Pi4) kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3mZn5l3ocumi5I

@cemaxecuter I ordered 2 x Adafruit LORA Pi4 hats. I read a white paper about networking several RPi's together over LORA. Have you guys ever tried this and if so can you SSH with this method? I would imagine if you had more than 2 there would need to be some rules set about who talks when among the nodes.

This looks like powerful package, but I have no SBC experience and very little knowledge from unix times... Can Focal run on Orange Pi 3 LTS?

DragonOS FocalX is for x86_64, currently the pi build of DragonOS does not have all of what you see in this video, probably too much for it resources wise. It doesn’t look like the orange pi is x86. I do have a rock pi x which is, would probably run okay on it but maybe slow. If you happen to have a laptop laying around you could burn DragonOS FocalX to usb and boot an ld run it live to accomplish what I did on this video.

Does anybody here have an opinion on whether DragonOS will run on an Inovato Quatro? tia
@cemaxecuter7783
@cemaxecuter7783 Жыл бұрын
At a quick glance it looks like it’d need a build built just for it. Currently all I’ve got is an x86_64 version and then a version built rather specific to the Pi.

@@cemaxecuter7783 Thanks! I might throw the Pi version at it, see what happens. Otherwise, it's supposed to run HamPi fairly well, so I can check that out. This'll be my first foray into Linux, so wish me luck. Thanks again!

Interesting, I’ll look up Hampi. Let me know which one works out, would be interesting to see if it’ll boot and run. I think you’ll like Linux and all the tools that are available. Good luck!
