Peter was a master class just in how to not lower your own worth but show how you could get more value for the same cost to you. Deborah wanted it so much for the right reasons, Peter just had to make it more realistic

I think Peter did the right move, and gave all dragons more equity in the process. Additionally, they didn't want to let this entrepreneurs given how much little equity that they are willing to accept either.

​@@kathymaxted9485then this app sounds perfect. You don't have to advertise how well you do, you can use the app purely to find opportunities to help others without posting about it on social media. If you want the spotlight for helping others, this app lets you do that, if you just want to help, to be a good Samaritan and keep knowledge of those good deeds between those concerned, then you can do that too.

I just... I don't love the idea of already working a long shift, to hear my manager say "Here's an app I signed you all up for, we WILL be checking if you do out of work hours voluntary work" Like, I wanna do good, but I don't want to be MADE to do it by my employers, and this looks like it could be REALLY abused by companies desperate to look good to consumers.

At my wife's company, they do volunteer work during work hours. But it's a 50% state owned company operating in an oligopoly, so is incredibly wasteful. I expect there's similar bloat in the larger corporates.

Which is why every company should be remote employees only to reduce and minimise any carbon footprint so all this effort with forced mandated volunteering would be mute.

Sadly they'll NEVER do that, because property is also a valuable asset to them, and being able to have more control over the workforce keeps people down and more willing to put up with bad conditions.@@sigma_z

This app should be named Sanctimony. The first example used was that you get points and publicity for signing up to NOT do something which you probably were not going to do anyway. Great you can claim you just changed the world by doing nothing.

I would love to understand the information governance elements of this platform and the holding of personal and potentially sensitive data. I guess that when a person posts an opportunity to help them or someone else they consent and I the data sharing. The app would need some serious security and GDPR compliance.

They are selling to business not the general public, and it can take months to sell to one corporation, so it really depends on the size of the corporation they are selling to.

The company you work for pays for you to use the app. It gives the company a higher ESG score which can attract top level investors who are now making investment decisions based on these scores. It also means the company doesn't have to do environmental good that actually effects their operations i.e. their bottom line.

Yeah, she offered way too low at 6%. I think all the Dragon's could have got 2% each permanently at least. The guy wouldn't have walked for a difference of 2% most probably.

How does that trigger you? CEO simply means the leader of a private limited company, his business is not a sole trader it's a private limited company,. You could start 10 companies and say you are a 10x CEO. don't get insulted by a word for no reason when you're the one with the wrong impression of what a CEO is or implies
