You say that, but unlike most sofas, you could very easily take the covers off and put them in the washing machine. You could also buy new covers and change the colour... not so easy with a settee. With a bit of work, this product will do fine. The biggest issue, which isn't product related will be the safety aspect when hanging it up. It has very specific requirements. This will be on the buyer though, not her so long as she covers legal issues with warnings and disclaimers. Price point shouldn't be pitched against sofas though, because they only cost so much because they are usually made in multiple countries and have to be shipped around on containers during the construction process. Very expensive! If made in a single country, they'd be way more environmentally friendly. It isn't a million dollar product, but it'll do fine. The key thing would be to suspend it on 2 chains rather than 4... smaller imprint, more likely to fit in most rooms with strong enough beams. Disaster it isn't. Hope she has a bit of luck. Someone with a good business head involved can make a world of difference. I've worked in furniture... people are weird and buy almost anything. Something different sells, you might be suprised.

Right?? It certainly doesn't look like a thousand pound piece of furniture, it looks quite cheap, if I'm being honest. And how do you lie down in one without falling right out? She should sell them for a 10th of the price, especially considering nothing about that is protected by IP laws (nor is even original) and uses materials and labour about 1/50th the £995 ticket price. You can't buy some chain and canvas, attach it together with mass produced components then ask for an amount equal to a whole year of most people's living expenses.
