I like Dragons Den very much and have watched many pitches, as I have Shark Tank. But Dragons Den does far fewer deals than Shark Tank. I dont know why and Im not trying to talk up Americans over anyone but we do see a lot better ideas, products and entrepreneurs on the American Shark Tank. @@Matt_History It wasn't that they're older, it's more due to time invested into the business. You could say that their larger share is due to them being young and now having many commitments to anything other than his business. What he wanted was experience and guidance in running his business and that's what he meant by talking about their age. He just phrased it so poorly that it left room for misunderstanding. I'm pretty sure they understood him because usually they'd go ballistic over being insulted.

@MichikoHoshi4 жыл бұрын
After you watch a few of them, you hear them mention that they each specialize in certain markets. Most people come trying to sell some sort of product and Jenny just doesn't have the expertise to make a decision to invest off an "elevator pitch." The only reason she probably invested in him is because advertisement is something she dealt with while investing in financing.
@svampebob0074 жыл бұрын
Like Puppy Shark said, they all have specialties, after watching a lot of the clips, I've noticed that she does actually try to invest, but she's often get undercut or the entrepreneurs don't see her as viable thus leading her to say "well if you're just talking to them I'm out". you can see her getting annoyed/offended when she offers 25% first, then the other offer 20% and swoop the deal. I kinda feel bad, but I also noticed she's trying to invest in growth potential, not always "quick and easy money", while the other dragons try to invest in stuff that already has been proven and are more interested in investing in sure things but requires their connection to succeed.... so more often then not it will look like she's always out of the deal because she can't compete with the others. On the one hand you got dragons that have way more experience and money then Jenny, on the other she's giving people a chance and also has a potential to make her money back and then some.

Jenny has one specific set of business skills along with banking so her scope of investments used to be extremely narrow but this was one of them when everyone else had this rejected but she made the offer.

Thing is This guy based on himself alone is investable, due to his mind for business and you could see peter thinking that as soon as he said he's been trading for 20 months and to top it graduates university while doing that. This is why you should never judge a book by its cover. I thought he was 15-16 .
