Fantastic presentation. Very impressed. And a Scunthorpe lass! She wanted 50K for 15%, whereas I think she should have gone in for 100k for 10% as surely the value would be over £1m with all those contracts and sales. As it was she settled for giving away 66% more than she'd offered for 60% more cash, which she didn't need. The dragons for a bargain there. But she needed then to help her, you can tell that after two years of stress A hard work she was flagging. Good for her!

As a tradesmen, I would be unlikely to use this. A great idea, but no real H&S issue using a coat hanger, and I always drill, detached the bit, then pull a sleeve through from the back of the bit. Having spent many years threading cable through ducts, cavities and god knows what, I have clearly missed something. Like most engineers I used a set of thin nylon rods which do exactly what I saw in the video. I used them back in 1970. So what is special about these? Sure we didn't use magnets which maybe are now strong enough to hold the wire against some of the friction encountered, but a bit of duct tape worked fine - never had a problem during thousands of instals. Must be me!

From my experience being an electrician, these are a great concept but due to the magnet, won't work due to substances which are not visible through the walls or areas getting the cables through and the resistance will knock off the cable unless you put on an extremely strong magnet and even then, the insulation wrapped around the cores will be stronger if done correctly....

Not only walls need cables threaded through. I restore and rebuild classic vehicles, threading cable is a frustrating job. One of these is now on the shopping list.

Job? Why and what for? When you know you can take your own invention and company to greater heights.

Here is the outcome: the ‘expert help’ she was expecting never materialised. The investment turned out to be a loan she would have to pay back and, she claims, the contract drawn up by Caan’s lawyers meant that, in effect, they had bought nearly a quarter of her company for £29. Sharon also claims she was asked to reduce her salary from £50,000 to £12,000, while Dunham points out that the two Dragons’ demands meant that one of them would become chairman of her firm. At the same time, Sharon’s health began to suffer. She says: ‘I felt absolutely mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted.’ Eventually, Dunham organised a termination of the contract with the Dragons’ legal teams. Shortly afterwards, Sharon went into hospital for three weeks having suffered a nervous breakdown. Dunham now confirms he has just issued a High Court writ demanding unspecified damages from Caan for defamation, but precisely what Caan is alleged to have said of his client is unclear. Says the lawyer: ‘I can’t comment at present. The case is ongoing. The damages we are asking for have yet to be assessed.’

She say that they ripped her off and they say this: "Caan said yesterday: 'Unfortunately, within a few months of Sharon appearing [on Dragons' Den] she decided that due to the success and positive feedback from the show she would prefer to keep 100 per cent of her company, which Duncan and I fully supported."

The biggest compliment anyone who goes into the Den can get is when a dragon declares themselves out and advises them to choose another dragon because it’s the best option for the business and the person behind it.

You do not need this product to feed a cable through cavity.The hole you had to drill.use then a slightly smaller bit..and push through hole.insualtion tape to hold cable.pull through and job is done.i have done this for 40 years.

A lot of times when your too honest and talk to much the jealous snakes will play to that. The sense of admiration in the den for her invention turned into fake smiles later on.
@russellbridgman3777 Жыл бұрын
You still obviously have to drill a whole before you push the mole through which is where the initial H and S problem might be. There are allready products on the market that have the same function. £6,worth getting one that price anyway.
