Weighted blankets are a thing. I have one. I know they're not for everyone but I know more than a few people who enjoy them. It's just personal preference but then I don't have claustrophobia.

Their latest accounts show they have just spent £590,000 on a new factory, mostly financed by debt. They don't seem to be making a lot of profit, but perhaps their new factory will change that - hopefully they forecast the impact on the business this time before spending that much money!

Why didn't they try to negotiate? That was so bad. If you are willing to walk away from giving 50% why not offer 20% each? or 15% each? The worst that can happen is the dragons won't budge and then you can decline the offer. They just didn't try to get investment really.

Well, that would have been pointless. Having watched so many episodes, it's nonsensical to expect the investors to move by that much. Maybe a 5% buyback option but not more. They didn't want to go there, so they didn't go for it. Or maybe they asked if they could accept a lower share and the Dragons refused. The episodes are heavily edited.

Unlike Kelly, I prefer a weightier blanket on me. It's not what she prefers that matters - the question is what percentage of the market are more like me than her. Got to be said though, Roger does not inspire confidence - too much chuckling and too many "I don't knows." I wouldn't feel confident giving him my money.

The offer was very reasonable. Duncan and Peter valued the company at £260k which for a company with £27k profit is more than generous.

Sales is one thing but the value of a business involves many things. The couple in the video have a manufacturing warehouse, with machinery. Its not like they are outsourcing manufacturing to China.

I really like this product. It’s a back to basics sort of thing. Especially these days with the cost of living, people unable to heat their homes, I believe the majority would rather be kept warm in bed and I personally would invest in a wool duvet. Loads of people like a heavy duvet

@@oneoneday Sometimes they'll take a smaller % if the entrepreneur is a good negotiator but it's not something they offer themselves. I'd imagine they take the view that if the entrepreneur doesn't have the nerve/smarts to negotiate a better deal, they wouldn't make good business partners. The dragons don't want to spend their time chasing business partners so sometimes it's easier to let them walk away. It wasn't that great of an idea, just something Duncan and Peter would have been willing to take a punt on but they're not really bothered about losing it.

Walking away for less than they valued the business does NOT mean that they have overvalued the business. There is value in getting alot of money right now and not having to keep working for it.
