REAL TALK: Switching to 8s sounds pretty good BUT aside from buying new batteries (I'm sure they aren't cheap), New charger to be able to charge 8s and you can't get accurate battery voltage on your goggles? Reminds me of when everyone was on analogue and digital started coming on the scene. People that were invested in analogue just couldn't easily switch to digital cause it was too expense. We don't have sponsorship or get free stuff from these manufacturers. So good to watch the video but for now it's like window shopping for an exotic car for me.

I think of it this way.. when you bash your 4s pack it dosent hurt the wallet to bad but when i smash a 6 s pack i cringe but i know if i was to ruin a 8s pack id cry ...😢😢😢😢😢😢

Great video....do you think if like you had a five33 flip switch or vanny pro something super light and ran a action 2 with like maybe hypetrain lets fly 1860kv motors you'd get the same result...??!!....I think using the 8s lipos would work great for those 6s builds that are heavy as hell!!! 6s to 8s is only a 33% overvoltage. 4s to 6s is more impressive with a 50% overvoltage. People have been doing this for years.

@johnwalter6410 not really, I can get better power to weight ratio with 6s. If you are looking for the same bump as switching from 4s to 6s you will need 12s (beast class) components. Now that sounds fun

would be nice if you could show some fpv footage, since the gopro kida messes with the picture too much... it's difficult to see how the quad actually reacts. when you push it. I'm still on 4s .. but i do more the "floaty thing" ;)

yep 8s ordering some right now just make sure you have 55 to 60 amp esc and an f7 and 1750kv motors and should be good to go

maybe, but the change isn't as extreme 4s to 6s is a 50% increase in voltage 6s to 8s is only 33.333...%

I shredded open a 6s1550mah Dog com pack last night that only had 4 flights on it and almost cried all the way home till I realized that none of the cells have been damaged just the foam protector on one end...
