I was going to say exactly this, so I'll piggyback on this comment instead. Great series, and some really good insight and experience. A Chris White Atlantic 42 has been my dream boat since the design first came out. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get my act together to have one. I came to these videos from a comment from the Sailing Spirit channel who have recently bought this boat. Many thanks for putting this together.

@@jpkalishek4586 Well that's adorable. What is your cats name? Drake really misses having a cat aboard and we sometimes talk about adopting one, but I just don't think it would work with all the countries we sail to. Don't want the poor thing to be stuck in quarantine. ⚓-Monique

@@drakeParagon Well Mo, I have 3. Annie The Insane (Animalus Insanius, a Tuxedo) who was demanding my dinner. Isabeau (Annie's sister from a litter a year later, Siamese pointed Tabby, like the father) And last but not least (well in years she is the least, she is 6 to the others 15 and 14) Allie Alvarado (small muted torty. she photos gray but has a lot of orange that hides from the lens). An Author friend immigrated to Austrailia and there his cats and dogs were quarantined for 6 months. His english sheep dog almost passed from depression until he mailed work shirts, unlaundered, to the kennel to be placed in the pen with him. The only folks I have seen cruising with critters seem to only stay in one area, like a Carib or US/Canadian waters.

I've been watching you guys oriental. Curious hows the auto pilot and how is the d400 wind gen. Thanks Safe travels
@drakeParagon5 жыл бұрын
The CPT Autopilot is working like a champ! We just recently completed a boisterous sail to the Faroe Islands in lovely, but rather blustery, conditions and it steered us all the way. The D400 is also great. It recently got tested with some intense winds as the remnants of a tropical depression/hurricane moved through (I say depression, Drake says hurricane...we will agree to disagree) and it was kicking out some serious amps. It never got so gusty that we felt the D400 needed to be locked down and, in the year since it was installed, we're very happy with it. I think we're actually going to make another review video. Kind of a "Hey we've had this for a year and sailed 4,500+ miles and this is what we think" video. However, if you have specific questions we'd be happy to answer them. Cheers (✿◠‿◠) ⚓-Monique

Next Summer in the MED?... You know why they call it that? Motoring Every Day.
@drakeParagon5 жыл бұрын
Ha, that's funny...I don't think I've heard that before. Of course, there is something called the Greenland high where a high pressure zone sits over the island which makes for lovely weather but little wind. We were warned to bring extra fuel as we might be motoring a bit more than expected, and we certainly found that to be the case at times. Good to see you Wayne and hope all is well! Cheers (✿◠‿◠) ⚓-Monique

Hey jan, doing interviews with fellow sailors and the people we meet along the way is a big part of our channel, and some people connect with certain interviews more than others. Who we meet up with seems to depend on circumstance but, I think quite luckily, it seems to run the gamut of the sailing community. We've chatted with 'Go Now, So Small' sailors such as Mads Bo Falk to super thrifty sailors like Martijn Dijkstra to circumnavigators (and fellow countryman?) Jan aboard his Hallberg-Rassy. John sails in a way that is very different from us, but we were honoured to get a glimpse into this world of high speed trimaran sailing. It may not be the way that we traverse the oceans of the world but, in the end, we are all sailors. Fair winds to you (✿◠‿◠) ⚓-Monique
