I did the grind ( well except the 240000 apexis crystals ) back then and somehow I didn't think it was horrible at the time, but looking back at the grind as a whole, I don't know I must have been very masochistic at that point in my life.. Holy shit.

Yea i did not have a good pc back then or i would have quit wow for sure it was a real nightmare after mop giving me some hope for wow the game never recovered from wod i think cata and mop where like the silver age of wow and then after that came the dark age all my friends quit in wod.

the description of the brewmaster pulling half the dungeon before he caught up, and dying to aoe, made me smile. I know exactly what that pull is, CMs are seared into my mind. but the aoe he's taking about are the bombs in the first leg of trash.

Yes the legendary cape and ring quests were long and tedious but honestly back then I didn't have much going on so I didn't mind it. Hearing you recount it, I would most likely deeply loathe it today.

Mike, the npc that sells the reroll coins was another in warspear to the left of the portal hut. I think 3 birdmen and one of them sells them. The birdman in Bellulars vid, I never visited

oh boy, the crazy wod stuff... i did all of that and i dont have fond memories of it... i remember how they wouldnt move the shipyard table into the garrison for a while because whatever reasons. i abandoned that thing as soon as i had the heirloom rings and never went back

wait how many apexis crystals? I don't remember anything like this from WOD. I've had like 300k on each character at the end of this expansion and nothing to really spend them on. Predominantly from garrison missions that I only did because the AP crystals came bundled with gold. It was like 100 gold + 200 apex crystals. Ofc I would run it with 3 treasure hunters to make this into 400 gold. I remember there were steps in this legendary questline: 1) Farm Highmaul thingies 2) Farm Blackrock Foundry thingies 3) Farm Hellfire Citadel thingies There was a 50 percent buff for alts on drop rates, you could also get them from missions (that were much more frequent in patch 6.2 for patch 6.1 content). This 300 000 figure applies only to solely doing the whole quest by grinding apexis crystals (there was an apexis crystal turn-in quest) but even that was weekly and took like 5 weeks. Players would clear normal mode hm and brf quickly for those items, especially in 6.2 where they were vastly overgeared for it. I remember 40-man Garn Nighthowl farming groups. It was a wolf that pretty much instant-killed anyone but it dropped a mount at 100 percent drop chance. And this mount was sellable on the auction house. And the mob wasn't a rare with long ass respawn. I made quite a bit of gold in early WOD on this, before the whole garrison goldmaking scheme was running on high gears. If you ask me about legendary quests I think MOP one was worse. It had a part that was a pure timegate - valor points. Initially 6000, then nerfed to 3000. But this 3000 was never removed. 3 whole weeks of doing nothing - you are capping valor anyway. In reality 4 weeks because competing this in 3 resets was only possible if you took the quest while being at 0/1000. This never really happened. In late MOP Blizzard did +100% buff on valor gains but they never removed this fucking 1000 cap, this buff didn't made getting the cloak any faster.

I understand why people don't like Azerite armor, but I am one of the weirdos that liked it. When I got a new piece I was always excited to see what cool effects I'd get. I am the weird combo of no-lifer and casual. I quit when Blizzard's culture of BS came to light. I'm back now because my BF wanted to try the game, and that man can talk me into walking into hell itself, also Dragonflight is awesome.
