And I wish we went down to 1 day because It's boring and tiresome to be the top DPS and coming to a whole raid for just one or two items that you know will never drop since you're out of luck. I hate Death Knights. I rolled one when they arrived back in the day. I finally got him out of the starting area then leveled him up. That alone took years, it was so boring. I finally got the grim little twat to max level, years have passed. I can say with my hand on my heart, I absolutely and totally hate playing DK. I kid you not, all those years, no exaggeration; hated everything, every minute. I tried to get into it, I tried, I really did. I've got at least one of everything and had to do the DK to complete the full set. I leveled every class from 1 to 120. I didn't like monk much but the DK was the worst.

Casual shouldn't equal shit at the game. You can play a game without making it your life and still be good at the game. Honestly, I feel like if you raid casually you should strive to be very good at your class given that people playing with you likely have giant time/life constraints and you being shit chews into their time. In my opinion, casual raiding should just mean you can't play hours a day everyday. So efficiency should be the goal, not just going into endgame content undergeared and unprepared.

When I was a kid I couldn't play wow because "warcraft" sounds too much like witchcraft. After years of trying to convince my parents they looked through the game and I was only allowed to play a hunter or warrior because because were the only ones that "didnt use witchcraft"

The first story makes me embarrassed for my gender. I've been playing for a while now, but I saw Taliesin not guide his brother through the starting area, and he had never played WoW before. Nevermind someone who played the have back when it was harder. I quit in TBC and came back in Legion and the only thing that messed me up was the collection menu, and the fact that cows could be Paladins.

We do 2 days for like 3.5 hours and we extend on the last few bosses, argus took 3 months, nzoth took 2 months of extends. It's fine, getting cutting edge is what matter regardless :P

Preach seems to fail to understand that not everyone can get into a guild that clears the Mythic raid in a few weeks and not everyone is good enough do to that. Plenty of people just want to get as far as they can, clearing it is the ultimate goal but every boss is an achievement. Was incredibly elitist to say "just join a guild where you raid 9 hours a week, and clear it super fast, easy clap". He is definitely in a bubble, doesnt understand that not every guild is going to be anywhere near as good as his. Even if my guild raided 3 days a week we wouldnt clear the raid in the first month or 2, i mean just like what the fuck is this logic

It's more that when a guild calls themselves casual, that they are saying "progression is not a priority". A guild that has people run what they want, even if not the top specs, but are trying to nail gameplay and mechanics; even if they aren't breezing through content is just called a guild. The mentality is that if you yourself are at a certain level, skills wise or mentally, then you need to group up with people that are similar. These stories stem because people that care about progression are raiding with people that clearly don't. I mean his healers were barely doing anything and the guild leadership was on him for calling out their poor performance. As long as you personally like your team and you progress at a pace you are comfortable with, then you are in a proper guild for yourself. Preach is merely stating that at the actual top end, there isn't much difference, so all this bs that people come up with is actual bs. He crusaded all the time about "hardcore" guilds having stupid requirements that his own actual ranked guild don't even have, just as much as "casual raiding" guilds are notorious for being toxic in the casual "no choice is bad, no player is a poor performer" kind of way.
