Our guild ran with EPGP in Legion, thought it worked really well :) Main difference however were that our EP were only made through raid attendance, from hours or from kills. How it worked: You get EP from raiding hours, being on time, having flasks and food, and killing bosses (think there were a first-kill bonus as well). The EP would additionally deteriorate over time (10% per week i think), meaning you couldn't really hoard it either. You get GP when you get loot pieces, different loot pieces cost different amounts, weapons and trinkets being more expensive than cloaks or boots for example. Your final quota were just EP/GP, and the one with the highest quota won the item, adding to their GP and bringing their quota down. Quite an elegant system imo, rewarding people who put in efforts, raiding, killing bosses and so on, and being fair that even new players can get some gear, since if they haven't got any loot yet they have a really good quota even after just some raids. The key difference between our old system and the one in the story is that you couldn't just buy more EP with gold :P

yes I have heard of EGDkp. It is basically a dkp system that takes out the problem of dkp hording. and then puts in a priority system based on "guild effort points' but those are only used as tie breakers from what I've herad. Frankly I thnk the whole system sounds horrible but I have friends that say it is great. so the system assigns T2 helm lets say 15 dkp. so all who roll on the item if they win spend only 15 dkp on the item and then the tie breaker is decided by the effort points. Bear in mind im spitballing here form what I've heard but yea no thank you. I'll take loot council even if my dumbass guild just voted not to give me perdtition blade over an overgeared and underperforming fury prot tank

you don't know about EPGP system preach? it is pretty much a DKP but insted of bidding on items and saving DKP for the true wanted items so you have gear wasted since people refuse to spend even a single DKP on an item they need all items have a gear point value that is added. you get EP or effort point by killing bosses or otherwise helping out the raid. now when i used the system we did not let people get EP by giving gold or herbs etc. if you were raiding you were bring your flasks and pots. however you could get EP by say running raiders threw dungeons where you needed zero loot but they needed something. so your take your effort points divide it by your gear points to get your prio points if you are the highest you get the gear. and the end of each week or raiding there is a 10% decay on both your EP and GP. this dose two things first it gives a sort of soft cap on how much EP you can have and secound effect is that you want as much gear as you can as quickly as you can since it means you have more GP to decay quicker. overall EPGP is better than DKP when you don't use it for things like getting gold out of people and don't use it for everything. the norm in classic was that raider leaders got 10-15% extra EP for each boss kill since they were the once leading.

Too many healers on my server too. We have a shortage of DPS and tanks. Anyone looking for a tank in chat just gets answered by some douche wanting gold. You literally have to put in chat that you will not pay for a tank and only want tanks that need the dungeon for quests or gear lol. This is why I rerolled a tank and have been painfully learning the ropes, so that I can literally be the knight in shining armor for groups needing tanks *a noble cause* 😆

Gaia has been around since 2000-2003. Its a really nice site for actual RP (not erp even if this exists EVERYWHERE cause humans are disgusting.) Its usually used for community building. Art sharing. They even have their own MMO esque thing. The dressup doll thing is a creative outlet and helps inspire a lot of people. I personally started my serious art journey due to Gaia, and its quite sad to hear people bash it randomly as if its any worse than anything you yourself are involved in. Anything humans touch has a bad side, actually majority of everything is bad.... But Gaia aint worse than GTA, WoW, ESO, FF, tony hawk proskater, Witcher or ANY other place where you have a character and get it as a hobby... Its just sad how the bashing is normal nowadays. Its no longer just Nerds with hobbies who enjoy their stuff - its hatewars.
