I would let that grandma raid with us! We have a couple of seniors in our guild, one of them just mines, and fishes. He does a monthly game time giveaway from the ore and fish he sells. Super sweet guy. It's people like that who keep me from leaving WoW.

We used to have an older gentleman in our guild and raids. He wasn't good, far from it. But he knew that. He knew he was one of the worst raiders, but honestly, no one cared. He was the absolutely sweetest and nicest person in the group. He could take jokes, deliver jokes. He would always take responsibility and you would jsut laugh when you heard him grunt when he died. He was such a joy to have in the group that we didn't care too much abotu his performance, he would step out on the later bosses if we really struggled. We found a guy that could help teach him, and it helped alot, still wasn't very good, but his dps increased by 10-25% (which seems like alot but he was very far down to begin with :P). Sadly he stopped raiding after some personal stuff with his family, and stopped playing after, what we think was his wife dying, we never really got confirmation. Sad to see him go and we all miss him to this day

You know what, that old guy story actually felt insanely nostalgic, I pretty much had the same experience that first got me into WoW except it was the older kids introducing 13 year old me to the magic and I was equally shit for different reasons. My guild is really cliquey like this last story we have a 7/8 mythic that pretty much only does m+ with mythic raiders and then a heroic team that is just a mix of mythic raider alts and casual people that dont play much and dont care about doing m+ who clear as many bosses on heroic as possible each week.

The thunderfury story is a big moral boost. You want to be a good person and make sure your MT gets his BiS weapon as soon as possible, but when your guildies fuck up your plans you just take the rarest weapon in the game for yourself in protest.

i also remember one that tore a guild apart. friend of mine was a rogue i mained mage after hunter. we farmed illidan for months. until finally the glaive dropped he ninjad it. CHAOS ensued shit was out of control he got banned. but later re-accepted and apoligized. shit was neccesary as he was our main dps strategist. and loyal leader. come many months later end of the year. it was a shitty winter. we did illidan again and again i was even looking for work and school didnt help us both. anyhow. it dropped. the offhander. he looted it once more. i had enough knew his password. and removed the item from his inventory when he slept. at school he beat me up and i beat his ass. then the guild had enough of his bullshittery and my whining..... rip the dutch guild named : de west aziatische compagnie. a joke on the east indian compagnie :( i felt really bad because it wasnt even my fault. but they removed me as i went into a fist fight with our top dps and he mixed it up saying the fight was BEFORE the offhand dropped.
