I can so relate to the Makes me Stronger story. That was my experience. I was on a laptop that liked to burn the shit out of my lap when I was playing. I was frequently at like under 10 fps during raids and such and played with the worst graphics to survive. And then we got a desktop. I won't really ever forget the first time I went for a flight on this desktop. I hopped on Alani and flew from Jade Forrest to Kun Lai. The Mop soundtrack mixing with my flight...god. I'll never forget it. WOW music really enhances shit some times. And damn it if that wasn't the best time I truly played WOW.

I came from a 1000 man town, satellite internet was the dream before I went to college; we just had dial-up. For anywhere remote (like an oil drilling site where we worked after I graduated college) satellite is sometimes still the only way to get internet in the US.

+Agent Camtho I can't remember why I saw there (probably on my way to Tempest Keep for the mount) on my feral druid, when an alert went out about Honor Hold being under attack. An undead rogue got a very angry cat dropped on him. In a matter of moments, he was at 1/4 health. But then he vanished and I couldn't finish him off. I stuck around for five or ten minutes to make sure he didn't come back. The levelers seemed thankful. It's the same reason I fly low over Westfall whenever I'm in the area, since it's a hot spot for that sort of thing. Rogues think they're hot shit until an actual challenge shows up.

I loved the first story, but the second made me appreciate something I haven't before. I tried desperately to setup a fishing bot in BC and I couldn't get it to work. If It had, and got banned, I wouldn't play this game today. I'd say I'm 100% against cheaters in PVP, raiding, dungeons, anything that isn't 100% potato. In my mind, even searching for a mine or herb took more skill or effort than fishing. --- Now days, I have a main that has max fishing, fishing gear and is 100% legit. I'm just glad I didn't get banned in my moment of weakness. #shortezdrama

@@sebastiangracia3111 Glad you enjoyed it! Technically I didn't live in town either, about 4 miles outside of it surrounded by farmland. People in the town (including the other four in the story) could get high speed internet, and the internet extended to a certain radius outside of the town, but the cutoff point was within walking distance of my childhood house. Over a decade later, the internet coverage still hasn't extended any further. I could never live there again with internet like that, lol.

@Preach Gaming When you talked about Ulduar XT and ICC Rotface and said that you could not put yourself in his shoe because of how easy they were, that is better you were lucky. I have been watchin a lot of your Drama Time lately and was wondering if I could bring an interesting story to your drama friday. What you said reminded me of Naxx 25 during WOTLK when guild were doing 2hours run clear no big deal and OUR guild that was a raiding/social guild were doing some of the worst run you can imagine. Can you imagine over 10 hours of Naxx 25 raiding starting in the afternoon and finishing late at night where you don't even clear the damn raid ? I thought Naxx was hard until I pugged it and realized that only our guild had problem with it.... I might write down a story on that sad and fun time of my young life if I feel like I have the skill to put it together in a way that it will be worth telling in your show :D Btw, is there any format u prefer or we just freestyle it and you choose afterward which you wanna read ?

Runescape would be completely unplayable with 1300 ms and internet connection like that. It may not have required using skill rotation in combat but it was still a fully server side game, even more than WoW to be honest. With latency like that the guy would have been constantly kicked from the game. Total bullshit (at least the lag part)

With clear skies, even with the high latency the connection was surprisingly stable disconnection wise, but with any sort of unfavorable weather disconnections happened often with both WoW and RS. I was telling the truth with everything I wrote, 1300 ms was the average, and the lowest it ever got was 700 (and that happened only once from what I can recall). But when you don't know any better internet connections exist you just learn to deal with what you have. Wish I had more proof but all I have is my word.

I loved the area I lived in back then, but the satellite internet was rough (though I was ignorant to any other better types). Online gaming was brutal as I outlined in the story, as well as having a 10GB limit per month. We'd get an extra 10GB if we used it during odd hours, something like between ten at night to maybe five or six in the morning. Totally new world once I moved on to college.
