It's just so fun. A big part of it is feeling like you have the power of boxing but without all the extra micromanaging that would normally involve. It also makes my mix/max nature go wild in SUCH a fun way.

This server has been great overall. I've been in groups where we were grinding AA as a group and my build wasn't tailored to AA aoe swarming and I was under geared and died semi often. I didn't kicked. Folks just gave me tips and we kept on rolling. I ended up getting a couple hundred AA in a few hours. It was a great experiance and I definitely learned a lot on how some things work.

Thank you for interviewing the THJ devs. THJ is mad fun and I enjoyed it soo much, words can't do this justice. Brilliant idea to speed up the gameplay by some clever ideas and a lot of QOL.

The real question, and I know other servers it was a bit difficult to do is if my wife and I both wanted to play on the server, it would not be possible on some of these emulators due to a triggering "boxing" even if we are not and I don't even box otherwise. I would actually be interested in playing this with my son potentially, but have not seen anything regarding this on any of the information videos I have watched regarding THJ.

This was such a great listen. Aporia and Cata are always so chill and great to talk to; glad to see them on here. 1:00:00 - I'm super excited for anything past GoD approachable in a solo manner. So many EQ players, not just emu players, had fallen off after PoP. It'll be great for so many to experience those expansions for the first time.

This server marks the third time I’ve been addicted to Everquest-it strikes a perfect balance between casual play and high-end competition. Honestly, it’s almost dangerous. I’ve done my best to juggle family responsibilities with the game, but I’ve struggled at times, staying up until 2:30 a.m. on more than a few occasions. Kudos to the Heroes’ Journey team for creating systems that not only blend seamlessly with the existing Everquest mechanics but also feel entirely unique.

I’m definitely intrigued by what they’re doing, and can see its appeal for veteran players especially. Coming back to the game after two decades away to play on Teek, though, I’m currently more interested in experiencing all the content I’ve missed. Definitely sounds amazing, though!

Hey Zaide, have you ever covered why DPG allows emulation servers to persist? Just curious what the thought process is behind it.

They can’t afford the legal costs to fight it I assume. Plus they’d probably lose.

emulation servers represent the best advertising for their service that DPG could possibly get. It keeps players engaged with their IP even when not actively interested in being customers, and this allows them to earn those customers back for event servers like TLPs. On the same coin, they've actively allowed them to exist for so long at this point that going after them would burn a ton of good will from their customer base. They obviously feel like this it would be a lose\lose scenario.
