I love the body shop! I've never had a bad experience with their products! My random act of kindness was the other day I was in the city & I walked past who I thought was a homeless man & offered to go get him something to eat and drink, I did I then gave him the rest of my money in my purse. He then told me all he was trying to do was to get back to Tasmania to see his family. It broke my heart, just because someone is sitting/sleeping on the streets does not mean it's their fault.

I work in a supermarket, and sometimes we have people come in and they can't afford to pay for every item they want to purchase, and one time a lady came through my checkout and only had a certain amount of money, she had been stressed all day and nearly had a breakdown at my counter when she saw the price it had all came up too. It's was well over her set amount and I told her not to worry about it, that I would pay for it. And that's what I did, She cried into my shoulder telling me how thankful she was when really I was more than happy to do it (my money was just going to go towards Make Up or something anyway) So why not do someone good? It made her and my day so much better! She now comes in weekly to see me and again thank me! I've never done something better in my life! xx

Love your videos! So was picking my daughter up from school and noticed this little girl with the most worn out pair of shoes on. I told my daughter to go ask her what size she wore and thankfully she was just a half a size smaller than my daughters. We came home and went through all her shoes and put them in a gym bag to be discreet and not embarrass her. While we were getting her "old" shoes together I asked my daughter if she would be willing to part with a pair of her new shoes and she agreed. The kid was so grateful and now her and my daughter have become good friends as of last week. I was so proud of my daughter for not being selfish and I'm so glad she gained a new friend!

My random act of kindness I have done recently is I had a women come into my work on the weekend and she opened up to me about just finding out her mother and sister both have cancer, it also came a the worst timing because her daughter is getting married. She now has to get tested to see if she has cancer or has any early signs. My act of kindness is that I have never met this women in my life but I asked and gave her a warm hug that she needed and I sat down with her for a little while and we talked about everything. Just before she left that night she turned to me and said thank you for the hug, I really needed it. I appreciate the way you've helped me tonight. This act of kindness made me feel so good about myself, but also open my eyes to see that sometimes all you need is a hug :) Love your giveaway, and all your videos. You are beautiful inside and out!

A random act of kindness that I did recently was at the grocery store I always go to there is the nicest cashier lady, she's always smiling, asking people how their day is going and so on. I bought her flowers one day, when I was checking out she said they're beautiful and was about to bag them up but I told her they were for her! She is always nice to everyone and I wanted to do something nice for her :)

I don't know if this counts as a random act of kindness but I try to compliment at least two people every day especially if the person looks a little down that day. I try to compliment something that they are wearing or their hair and it makes me feel happy when I see their mood automatically change from sad to happy.

A random act of kindness that I've show to complete strangers is if I walk through a door and I see more people coming through I just simply hold it for them it could take ages for all the people to come through the door but what makes me do it, is people saying "thank you"!, even if it's just one single person out of the whole group, it just makes me feel so happy that I've helped someone out just a little in someone's day ♥️

I like to do those everyday things that many people don't seem to do anymore. Like holding the doors open for everyone past me, helping an elderly lady open the door so it doesn't swing back to her and just smiling at everyone, greeting the bus driver and so on. It's so nice to make people happy :)

When I was in America on holiday a couple of months ago, there was a homeless made on the side of the road with no food or water. We were leaving America that day and we had a lot of food that we hadn't opened nor touched such as bread, strawberries, cereal, milk etc. We gave him all the food and $20 dollars. It felt so good to help someone in need and I believe it needs to be done more around the world! :-)

My random act was giving a coworker who is going through a tough time a whole large basket of supplies and treats for her house. She's a single mom struggling but you'd never know. I made up a basket and left it on her desk with a card that said you deserve this. No name, just that. I didn't see her receive it but I heard she was overjoyed. Just day to day things can be expensive if you are on your own:)

recently i have been going to my grandmas house every day possible,although she lives 2 hours away,my grandma means the world to me and she suffers from dementia and now is showing signs of Alzheimer's,we're not quit sure how long she has left but making all of her final days the best they can be,is my job that i love to do.she doesn't remember many people now,but when i go and see her i always sing her favorite songs to watch her face light up (sometimes she even hums along but can't manage to remember the lyrics). i try to cheer her up and i watch her favorite movie ever,the sound of music,with her every day.i love my grandmother…she's taught me how to be a respectful young lady.but yes i know this was long but this is what I've done lately to show kindness to the world-and of course to my grandmother. p.s i love you lauren you always make me feel beautiful after i try out your makeup tutorials on myself which is an act of kindness you show me a lot without knowing it!

An act of kindness that I do is everytime I see a disabled student or a student that looks like their lonely or has no one there I smile and say hi to them. Every one deserves to feel like they aren't left out and that someone does notice them and cares. Those little things can change someone's day so much! It's always the simple things that matter in life.

I am a cosmetologist and my client came in to get her eyelash extensions filled one day. She had her birthday a couple days prior and was going to her birthday dinner that night she came to get her lashes filled! She has a 4 year old son, works full time and goes to school so she doesn't have all the time in the world to get herself ready! Which is why she gets lash extensions haha so she doesn't have to put mascara on everyday! (She's also only 20!) So, I gave her complimentary brow wax, washed & styled her hair, & airbrushed her makeup on. All for free! She definitely deserved it. She looked absolutely flawless and I think it sparked a little flame inside her that may have gone out. I could literally feel that she felt good! Beauty really is on the inside, but when you feel beautiful on the outside you feel rockin! Haha

I told someone that was crying and feeling left out "you are not alone" I wasn't intending to get a huge response to this but the person actually thanked me and was super grateful. Sometimes all you need is little reassurance to feel good about yourself, big gestures or small gestures all play the same role in an act of kindness surely? Giving someone words of kindness can really change a whole perspective on life x

With the help of my friend, I created a 15 ft. long banner with a huge "THANK YOU" written on it, along with every lunch lady, hall monitor, and other custodial faculty members' names on it as a sign of appreciation since they tend to be a part of the population whose work is overlooked, and is not thanked and appreciated for. We hung it on the cafeteria wall for literally the whole school to see. Just watching the people's (who were mentioned in the banner) faces light up absolutely made my entire journey of high school, and I wish and hope everyone stops taking others for granted, and start being thankful.

I brought a homeless kid into my house (I knew him a while) and let him take a shower, made him 2 sandwiches with chips and all to eat at my house, then I packed up loads of food for him to take with him, along with a sleeping bag, blankets and some old clothes of mine that he could wear. His name was Jason and we kept an eye on him for a good while but, unfortunately, we couldn't find him in his usual spot anymore and haven't seen him since. I always hope he's ok and wonder if a better life finally came to him. Always give food to homeless ppl even when u know they're addicts. They still need to eat and survive the elements, they are not invisible.

I doubt this give away is still happening, but my random act of kindness was donating my infant daughters organs, it was ta done because I never expected to be hit head on, and I knew how I felt and I wouldn't wish it on any parent, so my baby saved 9 other babies and 9 sets of parents get to have that second chance with their healthy and happy children. Honestly I don't care if this wins, but organ donation saves more than adults, and can seriously make a difference, it was very hard for obvious reasons but again I would never want a Mother to have her heart feel like mine does everyday.

@HannerMcanner
@HannerMcanner 10 жыл бұрын
***** What are you talking about..? She didn't murder her daughter or something in order to donate her organs. She says "my infant daughter," so I don't know what you're talking about when you say "that baby should have had the life it was meant to have" and "you can't take away a soul like that." I don't know if you're under the impression that she aborted an unborn fetus, but for one, you can't donate the organs of a fetus, because the organs are not fully developed and are too small to be handled or to help anyone, and for two, infant is a term that is applied to children anywhere from one month to up to two years of age. Obviously something traumatic happened that caused her child to lose it's life, and because of the immense grief she felt, she thought she could help prevent other parents from feeling her pain and give other infants a second chance at life. She didn't take away her daughters soul by choosing to donate its organs, and she is no way SICK for doing so. It was her "dam decision" because she was her mother, and parents have complete authority over what happens to the body parts of their children. I'm disgusted that you would say such a thing to a grieving parent for a very PRIVATE and TOUGH sacrifice she chose to make, all in the name of saving others. Shame on you for passing judgement on a situation that you couldn't begin to understand. To the original poster, I commend you for the sacrifice you made to save other children, and I believe your daughter would be proud to know her death was not in vain. I'm sorry for your loss.

A random act of kindness I did: my father is sick. He has a brain disease. Two of the lobes in his brain are shrinking. He looses memory, and barley can remember us half the time. I help my mom with him every day because he is 24/7 care. Cooking cleaning, I work and go to school to. It's sad to see someone you love be taken away by a horrible disease. My act of kindness is volunteering to babysit him at night so my mom can switch to night shift for her job so she is with him during the day. It's not easy. He gets up all hours of the night. Tries to leave the house. I just have to do the best I can. It makes my mom happy knowing he is in good hands, and it warms my heart knowing I make her happy by doing this act of kindness.

Mine and my dads random act of kindness was last weekend. He was working in London and I was with him. There were two homeless men at the back of the shop. Me and my dad made them a bed out of the left over wood and insulation. Then we gave them both sleeping bags from the car. Then we bought them both a bag of food from the waitrose across the road, just biscuits and stuff. We didn't know if they appreciated it, we never went back, we just thought it would be nice and once we made the bed we felt we may as well go the full way. It felt nice :)

It's pretty much the only thing you CAN do. When you've got real bad depression you want to just push everyone away from you so you start being a real pain in the ass. If you still stay and give support, it's the one thing that person needs. This also has nothing to do with common sense :)

My random act of kindness was, I dropped some goodies through my friends letterbox as she was feeling down, and uncomfortable due to her baby being due In a week. So I just wanted to cheer her up and make her smile. I love you videos Lauren your such an inspiration, how you have built your career from scratch, and now living a life many people would love to, through your own hard work! Last week, on my way out of Walmart, an elderly lady approached me and asked if I could please give her a ride because she missed her bus. I was a bit hesitant at first because it was only myself and my 4yr old son, but I said yes. So I put her groceries in my truck then mine, and took our carts back. Well it turned out that she couldn't remember her address, but she knew the way she said. So off we were as I turned rt or left when she said. We ended up at an assistant living facility for elderly people, and the special vehicle which taked them to the Walmart, had forgotten her. When I dropped her off she tried giving me a dollar, I declined, but she insisted I take it and said it was a small token of her appreciation, after several had declined to give her a ride. I was so glad I gave her a ride!

That lipstick is beautiful on you!!! You should not be afraid to go out of the ordinary because it looks great. (: My random act of kindness was a few days ago when I went to Chicago, and I gave every homeless person on the street some money. It absolutely broke my heart seeing people like that. Where I'm from in a small town in Wisconsin im not used to seeing homeless people and it just made me so sad. The smiles on their faces when I gave them money meant the world to me. Also at the Walmart by my house a few ladies were taking donations for the homeless shelter for Christmas presents and I stopped and gave them money as well. I just love giving. It's The Best Feeling In The world.

There was a girl who has the same lunch as me in school and I always notice how she's sitting alone. So I walked over and asked if I could sit with her and we talked the entire lunch. We had so much in common. As we were about to leave, she told me that she'd always sat alone at lunch and was wondering if I wouldn't mind sitting with her every lunch. I've made a new buddy :)

I was in the same situation as this young girl when I was in my early years in high school which was one of the hardest things ever, especially because I had been bullied so much in elementary/primary school, and I can say from my heart that it's such a beautiful and kind thing what you did, and she would have really appreciated it. Sometimes people fail to understand how much simple acts of kindness can improve their day and boost their self esteem! Thank you for doing that :)

I gave him the two $10 notes and told him he gets another one for being honest and telling his mummy the truth. the mum thanked me and said the money was from his grandma for his birthday and she said that she knew it wasn't the actual money but was very thankful :)

Random act of kindness... One morning while walking my dog, I saw a my neighbor, a boy named Nick about 10 years old, walking towards his house crying.. I asked what's wrong? He said, "I don't want to wait for the school bus because all the other kids have parents with them & they give hugs & kisses goodbye, and I have no one to wait for the school bus with me." Instantly a tear came to my eye. So I walked Nick back to the school bus & sat beside him. We waited quietly for the school bus to come. I asked what he likes best about school & what looks forward to doing there everyday? He told me reading & writing. He even showed me a journal he wrote in daily. When the bus came, he stood up & began waking to the bus. I called him back & asked if he has lunch? He said no, so I gave him $10, then pulled him in for a hug & kissed him on the forehead. I stayed until the bus drove away & waved him goodbye. Nick & I never spoke before then. But when I see him now he always gives me a wave &a smile :)

I live in a third world country, and I'm a medical student. In my last shift, an emergency patient - who drank poison - die, after been trying to resurrect him during the last hour. I really try with all my heart to help him. The other students left him there in the bed with all the equipment, when the recently widow entered the room she was devastated seeing him like that. With tubes in his nose, mouth, open eyes. It wasn't my job and my shift was long ago finished, but I stayed with her helping her cleaning him, removing all the devices, closing his eyes.... As a medical student we are not "allowed" to cry with the familiars, we have to swallow everything we feel and act like "professionals". It's not an easy thing. That was my last act of kindness that I remember.

Hey Lauren! I watch your video every week, all the way from Belgium ! I learn a lot with your tips and this is actually the first time ever I comment a video on KZbin. I really think you're fun and amazing. I work as a volunteer in my community. I give class to kids and to chear them up and to make the class funnier I give away a cosmetics item (nail polish, mascara, lipgloss etc). My students are 12 and are already eager to wear make up and ask me how I do my make up, even if i'm only a beginner. I guess this is a "random act of kindness" that I've been doing since more 10 years ! Keep it on Lauren. You're awesome and you're good mood is spreading around the world ! xx

Being a teacher I've learned to do many acts of kindness on a daily basis. I've gone from buying my students lunch when they can't afford it to helping them study and understand material from another class. I listen to them poor out their feelings and insecurities and help them in one way other feel better. Mind you I have 9th graders. Since I work in Puerto Rico, kids graduate down here in ninth grade instead of eighth. Well, here comes something that I've come to do many times. Mind you I've been criticised by my co-workers for doing so, but, i continue to do nonetheless. Yearly I always seem to be faced with a student that is able to graduate because he or she has completed everything the department asks for (grades, credits, community service hours as their act of kindness) but aren't able to pay their graduation fee. So pon a yearly basis I pay someone's graduation fee and if they're interested in going I also pay for their prom clothes. Did it last year for a male student and his face would light up every time he walked past the teacher's table at prom. Those faces are the many thank you I'll never forget.

About a week ago, I was walking across this bridge near my house when I saw a girl sitting on the edge. I asked her if she was okay and she said that she was fine. I hesitantly walked away, but came back a few minutes later because I had a feeling that I should go back. When I went back she was on the verge of tears and asked me why I came back. I told her that only she could answer that question. She started crying and told me about how her boyfriend had committed suicide 3 years ago and that ever since she hasn't been able to live with herself. After about 2 hours of talking to her I convinced her to get off of the edge and come to my house, there I called the suicide hotline and was able to get her some help. I haven't seen her since she went to the hospital but I hope she's okay. I don't what made me go back but I am thankful for it everyday

You never really consider that little things you do as mattering but they makr someones day. It is a bit sad that these things are now seen as optional intead of an expected act of kindness everyone should partake in. For example, I still open door and help elderly people with their groceries, as well as offering to help carry heavy loads. This generation (of which I am a part of since im only 16) needs to learn to go back to a time where we did good things without expecting payment.

A random act of kindness... I don't know if this is still valid for the contest, but it seems that a lot of people are thinking a random act of kindness needs to be something big and pulls at your heart strings. Reading the comments I was amazed at what amazing people we have in this world. Great services, everyone! I have an ongoing act of kindness that I've done since I was little. I heard a story one time of someone who was very mentally ill and basically just said I'm going for a walk to the bridge and if no one smiles at me on the way there, I'm going to jump off (commit suicide). Ever since I heard that I have made it an ongoing goal that no matter my situation for the day, I will smile at people as I walk past them because it could just make their day. Remember that acts of kindness can be little things, too, just like smiling!

@joeyjojojnr58
@joeyjojojnr58 9 жыл бұрын
iFox female cows are artificially inseminated (for the sake of making money) which if it was done to a human would be considered rape. Dairy cows get their babies taken from them (and the babies are what we like to call veal) after a day and are killed. When the dairy cows decline in milk production they too are killed at about 7 years old. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Also veganism isn't a diet, i have also stopped buying animals skin (leather), and do not support any form of cruelty for example circuses with animals or vivisection. You are right though, what i said isn't a random act of kindness, its the least we can do because animals feel pain just like you or I and murder doesnt change depending on who is being murdered. If we can live a life happily and healthfully without torturing others why wouldn't we?

A random act of kindness that I have done lately is I helped special needs kids get through their school day, just so I can have the experience of a lifetime learning the challenges they have to go through, making me grateful for all that I have.

I volunteer at my local school for people that suffer from a variety of different disabilities, this is apart of my health and social course for college and I really enjoy it! Last year I volunteered at a day centre for individuals that suffer from dementia again as apart of my course but it's really amazing seeing how different people live and making there time a lot easier.

random acts of kindness can be a little as holding the door for someone or picking up something someone else has dropped, and I believe everyone needs a little help now and again, so this is a really nice way of showing it, by just giving something to someone, the last random act of kindness I did for someone else was the other day day when I held the door so someone who's hands were full.

My most recent random act of kindness is my friend's mom was out of the country , and she had a HUGE wedding to attend (I wasnt invited) her mom is usually the one to help her with everything (she majorly relies on her mom) , so I helped her match her dress and shoes etc.., and I did her and her sisters makeup. They both looked stunning and it made me happy to see them happy!

For my high school homecoming this weekend, I did girls hair and makeup who couldn't afford going to the salon. It was equally as fun and rewarding! Plus they looked beautiful.

I put up encouraging and positive notes in random places around my school in hope that I can make someone's day brighter like you do with my day.

My random act of kindness was when i recently and voluntarily visited Reiby Juvenile Detention Centre located in Campbeltown area (3 hrs away from where i live ). I visited here with a bunch of my friends and family from our church and played a couple of hours worth of oztag with the boys there, it was honestly one of the biggest highlights of my life. The boys loved interacting with us and were very open and friendly with us. I think they gave me a greater blessing then i did them.. Loving the openness Lauren in this video aswell ! xx

I absolutely love this makeup! You always have the best looks and are by far the best makeup youtuber ever! My random act of kindness is that I gave out free hugs at school. There was a peace festival going on so me and my friends made signs saying "free hugs" and walked around spreading joy. We brought a lot of smiles to a lot if peoples faces. I don't know if they were laughing at or with us but it doesn't really matter. Just making people smile was worth it.

I recently helped an elderly lady with her heavy groceries that she couldn't load into her car. The look on this woman's face was priceless.. she didn't expect anyone to help her, which is sad. I felt so good for doing one very small random act of kindness! If everyone would do ONE random act of kindness a day can you imagine how much better the world would be?
