Why did you turn off comments on Ripped Apart? I live on Lake Michigan, and several men die every year trying to save their families. We have Rip Tides, which are worse than the ocean or sea! Please, people, if there are any waves, put boating life vests on your children. I did, my children hated me, told me they were embarrassed, but, they got to jump in the waves, they are still alive. Unless the ocean or sea, or a Great Lake is absolutely calm, rip tides can come out of nowhere. Don't ever underestimate them. Be safe! I hope to save our men! And our children. It is always a child, or their father dying every year. Makes me so sad.

It’s sad .. but Californias are Strong and Resilient people .. they will rebuild stronger and bigger than ever.. especially Palisades , Altadena and other communities..

It's sad alright but they don't learn, they have wildfire's yearly and every yr house's burn down. Do they rebuild fire resistant house's, no just same as before. Do they remove excess vegetation, nope they leave it for next fire season 🙄🙄

Those poor folks are Stuck with thr 30 to 50k bill to clean there land from the burnt down home, aka hazardous waste. ( I couldn't believe it either, until my grandmas home burnt down in the Ca, Carr Fire. It's aweful. Sad part is I think it's just the beginning here in CA, don't be surprised if terrorists light up 1/2 the state!
