Aging doesn’t suck! It’s normal, it’s a gift! Getting cancer sucks! Being in a major car accident sucks! Ageing is an opportunity to stop focusing on the wrapping and concentrate on the contents. When we are all on our death beds I can guarantee we will not be thinking, “ I wish I had lazer, or Botox or a facelift” We’ll be thinking about what our life meant, who loved us and who we loved. 🤷‍♀️

The WORST gift ever!!! How do you know what somoene elses experience is? Its actually very insensitive to brand one thing OK to be depressed about and another as 'too superficial.' Why is it OK for a woman to be depressed about losing her hair or breasts to cancer but not her face to ageing? Just because the one doesnt happen to everyone and makes them stand out more in a crowd isnt a criteria for why its OK to feel bad about one and not the other. They are both 'superficial.' Attitudes like this just shame women into silence and show a lack of understanding of the truth about the HUGE emotional distress and damage to mental health that ageing causes. Just saying something is wonderful doesnt make it so, thats just gaslighting. Attitudes like this just perpetuate the stigma and shame and mean that women dont get support which just makes it even worse. You are encouraged to speak up if youre depressed but of you dare admit youre depressed about aging then you just get judged. Many women in their 50's are suicidal so they CLEARLY dont think its a gift

If its so wonderful then why is the suicide rate highest among middle aged women? (And prob the only reason it falls again for older ages is because the unhappiest have ended their lives leaving only the happy ones to report into the now biased sample.)

It's more for full effect, but the women aren't caked with makeup, nor will makeup lift your face to the degree of a facelift. The first woman, the 86 year old is a great example of before and after, as she's wearing barely any makeup.

I don’t look upon the before pics (without makeup) vs. the afters (with makeup) as a “deception,” however I agree that it would be most helpful to see and evaluate the results more fully by using an “apples to apples” side-by-side comparison. It’s very hard for me to get the true gravity of each change with entirely differing basis.

One thing that I've heard from multiple friends who work in the entertainment industry is that everyone is using the actor's strike as a window to get their plastic surgery done. They all put in their "face" time on the picket line and then drove straight to the doctor to get their new face. They're all planning to heal in their homes while no filming or press work is going on and they're all gonna show up at award shows in a few months looking very "well rested." Not relevant, but I just thought it was funny.

I have to respectfully disagree that "aging sucks." It's an honor and privilege to age and, yes, even to watch my face develop more lines from a life well-lived. A smile is free and I've NEVER seen anyone look ugly or bad when they smile. A smile is all one needs to look beautiful. All of that said, might I ever consider any cosmetic surgery? Maybe? But aging? Wrinkles? Sagging skin? Badges of honor and grace, in my view. So many friends and family younger than me (I'm in my late 50s) have died in recent years, I'm truly happy and grateful to still be here and be fairly healthy. We all need to stop looking in the mirror so much, look at each other and be present with each other instead.

One more potential interpretation: the window could be specific to career opportunities for women in the entertainment industry. Which could throw off a lot of people including herself, and could affect her career as well. You cannot unsee what you already saw. Being poor is better for people in the long run - skin care is far more important than the shape of your face - that can be improved much cheaper if you have great skin. My western peers had zero interest in skin care unless they had acne when they were young and then focussed on skin care when they had wrinkles. Plastic surgery cannot improve poor wrinke lose skin all iit can do is pull it. You will skill look old but with a tight face. The western philosphy of wanting someone else to fix the problem is why celebs get so much surgery. It cost nothing to buy moisturiser and use active ingredients like retinot and vitamin C. Stay out of the sun and use a sun block. you dont need cheaper surgery - you need to be responsible for your skin daily and that includes a good diet

I honestly think SJP looks beautiful. As a woman in my late 20s, I really want to see more examples of female celebrities aging naturally and gracefully. It is so refreshing in a woman bucking the trend of major cosmetic surgery... there's something deeply humanizing about it, being about to see the real person rather than a tweaked and manufactured version of themselves. I think part of the issue is that we've collectively developed an incredibly narrow concept of what female beauty should look like (that is, to be beautiful is to be young). Where's the recognition of beauty and warmth in an older face? Both of my immigrant grandmothers were beautiful to me because of everything they embodied - love, kindness, sacrifice, experience. So sad that looks are prioritized over the qualities that we'll ACTUALLY be remembered for once we're gone.

I am only a week out at 63. 15 years ago, my under eye bags were horrible. So I began thinking bleparoplasty. At 61, I had endomeyrial canceand all femaleorgans were removed. 18 months lather, i looked more than 10 years older and hated it. Aging badly is Not a gift. Cancer stole the decent genes and I am now recouping myself via a doctor I looked for over years of research. Bottom line, I will age gracefully my way. If I choose to use surgery instead of despising every day and wasting thousands on skinceuticals, fillers and botox. My perogotive. How people choose to live their life is nunya.

I don’t think any woman thinks it’s technically logistically and physically too late for a facelift. Women think of beauty and very complex ways… I really feel that she meant that when you have a facelift in your mid40s, it’s as if you never have to go through that aging process that she just spent the last 15 years experiencing. Now, if she has a lift, she’s going to be having a more obvious procedure. Not only that, but I think she feels a bit of regret that she didn’t enjoy the benefits of having had it these last 15 years. Oh, that’s funny. I commented that literally just before the part in the video where he says the same thing, LOL

I know people want to bury their head in the sand and pretend that looks don’t matter for how we feel about ourselves but the reality is that its simply not true. I do beg to differ when Dr. K says that he can guarantee that anyone in their 50's who doesn't have sagging has had work done. I've had nothing done and if you zoom in on my photo which was taken a week ago, I'm not sagging. Not by much anyway. Interesting and great insight grom Dr. K. However, I'd love to know this - if you have a face lift at the very young age of 40ish for how long could you anticipate the face looking great after 20, or 30 years of continued aging. Or, is it really expected that a second or more face-lift would be required as the aging process encroached on the first investment. My plastic surgeon always advised me to take good care of my skin but look to the 60s before considering a face-lift. Love to know why this has changed over the years.

The unnatural process is that getting old in a very unhealthy fashion. Because this indicates that one did not take good care of her/him self. Please at least as a scientist do say that too. Because staying young is a whole living style. Not having a single wrinkle and saggy jawline does not necesessarily mean he/she looks very young and beautiful. Further more people do die on surgery tables. Hardly any one give data about that here. Having operation under full narcosis should not be taken that light. That dear actress looks great considering her age. I love her too. However these are the people who make their money by "look." Imposing this to whole people is rather bloody. Aging doesn’t “suck”, it’s the reward of a life well lived. People have to stop being so superficial and looking at each other as objects. Grey hair, some droop and creases are a fact of life. I won’t change mine, I earned them while doing good in the world. Nothing there I want to erase. Could I be much better looking if I had a bunch of procedures? Maybe, if I didn’t get botched as many do. But I wouldn’t want that anyway, too much attention, mostly the wrong kind.

It can be traumatic for some people despite the fact they look great. It takes time for even the patient to accept the "new you". Your brain needs to have its memory of the old you fade while conditioning itself to the new person that is in the mirror.

I find it disconcerting when female (especially) celebrities deny having procedures because, for a majority of them, their celebrity status is due in large part to their exceptional, and supposedly “natural” beauty - rather than stemming from exceptional talent. Conversely, I fully respect celebrities who admit to having a rhinoplasty, cheek implants, chin implants, dental work, breast augmentation, liposuction, etc. - and credit these procedures for the opportunity to pursue their career choice.

The thing is that she needs a protective answer on this insisting and repulsive obsession of the media on why she doesn't care about her own aging process in the way people want her to care. But that's the point, she doesn't, and I applaud her courage for not succumbing to the pressure. And in overall, I really appreciate these videos cause they're very informational about the whole secrecy that involves plastic surgery.

Clearly you're a very qualified plastic surgeon, your before and after photos are amazing. I was impressed with Martha Stewart's facelift, she looks great yet still looks like herself. At this point in my life (I'm 76) I'm not even considering any kind of facelift or filler. Happily, no one believes me when I tell them my age. It's clear I look much younger than my true age, something true for many people in my family (good genes). Your subject matter is great giving an understanding of procedures. Thank you.

I've been pulling up my face since my mid 20s. for the longest time, I was convinced I'd needed a facelift. I'm in my late 30s now and when I look back at these pictures I figure it was a weid obsession. :D I don´t think it is the best indicator. It´s always worth getting an expert's opinion. Also: Sarah Jessica looks STUNNING!

Please can you break down what fellow cast member Kristin Davis did wrong? She makes some of us fear getting surgery as her face looks pulled back / stretched, causing the joker mouth... plus we'd like to know what part is fillers and what part is bad facelift? Basically, can you explain what not to do?

She admitted she had fillers & regrets them. Had them dissolved after friends told her she over did it but you can’t dissolve all of them. She said in an interview a few months ago. She also said she wished more people would talk publicly about what they’ve really done to help others especially women.

I've had 5 surgeries to fight breast and thyroid cancer over 21 years. I had a breakdown 8 years ago during chemo. I was given Haldol over and over for 3 days and now have a movement disorder due to the medication. I look distressed and I feel distressed. I shake all the time. I have PTSD and I'm not disabled. I've almost died two different times on the table and frankly I look awful. I have very deep frown lines from the stress of all this. I hate these lines because they make me look angry. I'm 63. I'm so thankful to be alive. I will admit I wish that I didn't look angry all the time. That makes me feel terrible because people are often mean to me because they think I'm mad. I can't control my voice either so that doesn't help. I mostly whisper or I get too loud. But I am alive. I had my first grand child last year. Everyday for me is a gift. For those women who feel the desire to do this, do it. The rest of us will cheer you on from the sidelines. Nonetheless, the videos are fun to watch.

They confuse confidence with vanity, and cant tell the difference between someone who is having a normal, human reaction to an unattractive ageing face and someone with body dysmorphia. They accuse anyone who cares about how they look as being vain and shallow, then admire celebs for being beautiful. 🙄 Ignorance and hypocrisy reigns supreme it would seem

At 55 my skin is in good condition, however I was beginning to see the jowls appearing , bags under the eyes and the loss of fat in my face. I have had botox to keep wrinkles at bay but didn't want to put any fillers into my body, so I saved up the money I would've spent and have just had a face lift and lower blepharoplasty - under local anaesthesia minimal scaring and I look as I wanted - more refreshed but ultimately me - only those close to me know I've had it done - most people think it's because i've taken a holiday 😀. Although when I have been asked, I am open and honest and said I've had a face lift & eye surgery.

I feel like it's just trying to be the best you can be as we age. I've had a FaceLift and forehead lift and tuck under chin done around back of My ears and I had another one done two years ago called the Y-Lift and this one was absolutely 💯 perfect because he just made a straight line cut around front of ears and let me say the scarring you can't see at all and I was even awake on this one too and it was zero pain or scary he made you feel super comfortable by talking you through it with other things. I'm 60 now. And part of the Y-Lift one was also done using fillers everywhere else needed and was actually affordable compared to the first one by far. Anyways I look at it as I'm trying to age to perfection lol 😆 🤪 😌. I'm not ashamed I feel it's a blessing when you can afford to do these things. Anyways just my outlook tysvmfs. I am a KZbin Influencer as well and I show my whole Y-Lift in videos if anyone wants to see. I am a DIY doing treatments like microneedling, dermaplaning and Skincare products as well as nails a bit ago on Channel. Anyways hope you don't mind me sharing. Tysvmfs too I watch you often 😂😂❤
