I'm responding to your video over 50 don't ruin your face I do agree that after a certain age or a certain development of Aging only surgery will give people the results they desire however in the beginning of your video you showed pictures of Christie Brinkley and Nicole Kidman and you mentioned how fillers and Botox don't look good on older women however once a woman has had a good facelift I'm 78 and have had one at 47,a 2nd one at 65 and a 3rd at 75 and since I am very rejuvenated fillers and Botox do look good on me so I think you neglected to say that once a woman's face is restored to youthfulness with surgery then Botox and fillers can look good on her at almost any age especially if she's looking in her 30s or 40s

Thanks for sharing very valuable facts. However as already been commented here by others, I'm in the same situation that there's no way I can ever afford to do a full face-lift. 😢 I would like to know, what's your opinion and experience about plasmapen? Could that be useful to tighten up areas under the eyes? Sagging skin. Or could it be helpful to get better looking skin around the chin and mouth area? Where I am bothered by large pores and harsh looking skin around those areas. I am turning 53 in December. I live in Sweden so unfortunately I can't visit your clinic. Thank you in advance for answer!🙏🙀

100% agree that full face rejuvenation at this age is the way to go, but in the US, it's so expensive, and it's possible to delay aging and reverse a LOT just through Microneedling. No procedure that I have done in my life was as helpful as the high-quality derma pen I got for around 100$.

Yeah sure, during the years I have tried almost everything to look younger + delay aging as much as possible, anything from face exercises, vitamin C serum, Fraxel, collagen supplements and of course Retin A (7 years straight), home devices and what not. I swear, Nothing made any real difference compared to microneedling. Within 3 months of use, my skin has improved DRAMATICALLY. I don't look like I'm 20's again, but definitely not 44 either. My fine lines have disappeared completely, and my nasolabial folds are way less are nonexist (never had jowls though). People often underestimate the power of wounding and the revolutionary effects it can have on the skin

At 54 yrs old I’ve taken a very holistic approach. After playing with the thought of fillers and deciding against it, I’ve been doing osteopathic massage with incredible results. Consistency is a MUST and you will see results. It won’t give you the look of a tight “facelift” but it will give you a natural, youthful look along with proper skincare and adequate hydration. The key is to age beautifully as well as gracefully. Who wants to look 20 with a 60 year old body anyway? Aging is inevitable ladies. Love yourself naturally❤

I am a former massage therapist and I went to my clients homes, they were allvery wealthy and had many face lifts starting in their 40's. No matter what people still know a person's age. The best thing I found is healthy foods, don't drink a lot of alcohol, stay active, moisturize, and do facial exercises they work. I also massage my face and drain lymph so it gets rid of puffy eyes and saggy jowls. Be your age and be proud of it!

I'm 57 and in my 2nd year of menopause and have noticed changes in my body even though I am in pretty good shape. I have noticed jowels and a heaviness on my eyes etc. As I see women my age getting these procedures done I have been tempted to get a little this or that. One thing that is very noticeable is that when I smile in pictures I look way younger and that is the the answer, for me anyways. I am getting older and will continue to try and stay positive and smile more. Putting stuff into my face makes me nervous , so for now I will just try and smile more 😊

@AHK99. Do you have any advice or hope for those who can't afford you or the vertical lift? I.e.payment plan, etc. Or is your message, essentially if you're over 50 and not rich, it's all over for us in the looks dept. and to just accept it? While I appreciate your message re don't waste your money on botox and fillers, how about hope on payment options or how one might be able to afford it. I.e. 1 yr /3 yr/ 5 yr / plan or something to at least give us some offer of hope. Or show us how the money wasted on fillers, in addition to x amt. Could equate to vertical lift cost almost. I'm 51 and have only had botox, fillers twice in 2 years. I can't afford vertical lift yet, but I also want to be able to have a professional career without ageism and continue to look like myself. Message of possibility if any would be appreciated

I liked how I looked until I was about 47. I’m 52 now. My neck drives me crazy. Would love to have a facelift but gotta win the lotto first. Such good information here. As a single parent, I can’t afford any of this stuff, even Botox but I guess now I don’t feel so bad. Thank you!
@Star1320Light
@Star1320Light 4 ай бұрын
Single parent, too. Facelift yoga is very effective for jowls specifically. So is facial acupressure. Jowls are easier to fix. The electronic devices also that he says don't use on the face (and is correct) can and probably should be used on the jowls...like red light therapy. The reason not to on the face is we lose valuable facial fat that holds things in place. But the jowls are different...they are excess that stuff. The exercises (free on KZbin ) plus acupressure ($19 course I got for facial acupressure) plus a red light/heat device for jowls (100$) is a potent trifecta. However, you probably don't need all three. Start with one.

Why isn’t anyone commenting on accepting aging or the emotional and mental suffering imposed on women by our culture’s obsession with youth and beauty? I’m 59. I’d rather spend my money enjoying life. Id rather spend my time meditating on self love. The time, energy, and money spent and the pain endured, especially by women, makes me so sad. I wish you all happiness and full hearts wrinkles and all. You don’t need to look youthful to be (and look) joyful. ❤️

Great advice. I'm 65. Just had (today!) a tweaking procedure of my upper Blepharoplasty, lower Blepharoplasty, brow lift. The procedure was just in my upper lids. More skin needed to be removed. So...9 months ago, I opted for ONLY the upper and lower Blepharoplasty and forehead. No facelift, neck, fat transfer, etc. these are all major procedures absolutely is a great idea to do it all at once. However, I did not want to be anesthetized for all of those hours. I'm grateful I did not do it because just the forehead and eyelids plus I had a ptosis repair in my eyelids, which is the muscle that not everybody needs correcting. I did need it. Seems to be some genetic thing in my family. Plus, I cannot afford to do all of that. And my face does not look funny. My eyelids were quite droopy, and it was affecting my vision, so there were other reasons for doing it. I just don't want women to feel like they have to do the entire thing although of course, it makes sense. I wouldn't just do my neck and not do the facelift.

I 100% agree with what you are saying - I’m a 55 year old female - I’m completely sold and contacted your practice very excited thinking I can look 10 years younger however 100k is way over my budget. So it seems only the people who have 100k spare can afford the vertical restore. As a single mum of 3 children it’s difficult for me to have that surplus cash. Your videos and knowledge are amazing and confirm to me that I only want to have you Dr Karam and do not want to go anywhere else for this type of surgery. What can the 90% of your viewers do to look like the people who can afford your procedure ? Surely you have packages or some type of plan for the rest of us. You mentioned you average 20-30 patients per month and if we average this out over 12 months this equals approximately 30 million per year in vertical restore sales which is incredible and you deserve very penny for the happiness you make to peoples lives. I want to feel this too and look 10 yeas younger 😃 thank you 🙏 you have done an amazing job and we are all convinced you are the best so now what do we do??? Thanks you Ellen, Manchester, England

I think I need to learn to accept aging. But that’s also going to be hard in today’s day and age. I think of my Mom. She was beautiful. She always looked her age, but had light, wisdom and a joyous calm presence… I never thought she should look better than she did. Her beauty was radiant, and she only ever did “the basics” decent skin care, sunscreen and her “5 minute face” This is all getting too out of hand. At the same time I can see how hard it is to age and start to feel invisible to society, we need a shift to happen that values the elderly. They are being given the gift of a long life!!! Time is the greatest gift! Mom only lived to be 56… I’m sure she would have loved a couple more decades and the opportunity to have more wrinkles! So maybe we need to move away from this sort of stuff. If we all look our age, then it’s just normal!!

If plastic surgeons can adjust their prices, you are going to have much a lots of requests for this. But now, if all these people are close of their retirement they have to think wisely of their finances. At more then sixty years old, you should propose something for this specific clients. On the fourth day, there’s hormone growth recovery. Fifth day, cell rejuvenation. Start fasting. Drink water. Exercise. Eat healthy foods with omega 3 oils. Sleep. Don’t stress about life. My dermatologist has definitely adjusted (lowered) my Botox over the years. Im almost 60. I was disappointed at first because it doesn’t seem to last as long or to provide as much softening.… now I realize more isn’t better. I had fillers placed over the years; but agin my derm was very very conservative (subtle) with filler placement and tiny amts over several treatments, over time. I feel fortunate to have found a provider with a good eye for aesthetics. Yep, threads were painful and not worth it (different provider) … my one big regret as well as filler in NLF (also not above provider) Bottom line find a provider you trust that understands faces over 50. 😊

No need for expensive creams or surgery! Then there is that...ffs, just grow old gracefully, bc like Joan Rivers, no matter how gorgeous, smooth & youthful your face looks...your chest area will still have the signs of aging...hence why those that have had fillers, surgery etc will be wearing high neck collars or scarves also...at the end of the day when you die your skin will be no more anyway, soooo whats the point?! 🤷🏼‍♀️

Doctors in NY & CA are twice if not more expensive than Chicago or your local surgeons Do your research on the Doctor and their reviews and see if they have any lawsuits against them too. Decide wisely. If you opt for out then f town surgeons know that they have accommodations for your recovery before they release you. Which is fantastic.
@victoriaaustin7277
@victoriaaustin7277 5 ай бұрын
I don't think it's fair to assume the prices are indefensible or based in greed. When you consider the rents or mortgages/property taxes of these surgeon's offices in areas like NYC and CA, the salaries of their staff in those areas, the cost of purchasing and maintaining their equipment, cost of utilities, the cost of advertising in these markets, the cost of paying down med school, the cost of ongoing training to keep on top of the latest techniques and, for innovative surgeons, the cost of developing those techniques, the cost of malpractice insurance - even for surgeons who've never once been sued - is astronomical, the costs of the anesthesiologist, the anesthesia, and the OR, which are all beyond the surgeon's control, not to mention compensating for the incredibly restrictive impacts of the SALT cap on these areas, while these price tags are also insanely prohibitive to me, I'm surprised the cost isn't higher. I know how much the bill was for my breast reduction YEARS ago, and that was only the cost AFTER insurance, since that procedure was medically necessary, not cosmetic. My surgeon had offices and hospital privileges in both Manhattan and North Jersey. I had the procedure in NJ, but had I had exactly the same procedure with the same surgeon less than 10 miles away in NYC, I know for a fact that my out of pocket cost would have more than doubled. You simply can't compare surgery costs in CA or NYC to ANYWHERE else in the country and judge them as indefensible for being significantly higher. Their business' operating costs are insanely higher, so naturally, that's reflected in the price tags for these procedures.

Agreed. But why does “youth” mean the only beauty? Fertility is Nature’s tool for procreation…viz men’s innate enthusiasm and belief in youth as beauty. It’s normal up to a point. However, it’s not so in every country, even within Europe, there are many sophisticated and enlightened men who regard beauty WITHIN women in every age. Body/age shaming is a modern phenomenon. Despite women chasing beauty since time began, a woman’s true beauty begins after the first wrinkle. Women waste so much time and money chasing this nonsense. Be who you are, concentrate on your virtues, stop losing confidence and falling for it. Look in the mirror, discard the shameful “signs of ageing” and say “to me (and I’m the only one who matters”) am beautiful and INTELLIGENT and not falling for it. Only holding back the march of Time, for a short time…don’t waste your life, time and money on these tricks. Once you start pointlessly doomed to failure in the effort to hold back time, in the trap, have you ever known a poor surgeon or “ aesthetician”. This doctor is correct in age “little bit more, little bit more” syndrome till women are so confused and undermined, trey go for the full Monty. Cannot last, fools nobody unless you do something to every part of the body that shows. Look ridiculous and vacuous….always fails and then you die. If you think your beauty is gone, look inside choose for yourself how beautiful you are - if that is what you need for personal self-confidence. Brain washing is sooooo easy for the vulnerable. Very cruel and totally misguided.

A lot of this isnt true ! Hes making it sound like its some kind of holistic approach by having full surgery. Not everyone and everything looks old at the same time. People age differently. I agree if you are 80 and have never taken care of your self. But hes targeting the 50+ audience. I dont have any jowls and I am 69. This scenario doesnt work for me. Most of my aging is around my eyes. Of course surgery is more permanent and in all honesty less expensive than botox botox People age differently and hence may want to fix areas that bother them I dont know why i dont have jowls or a sagging neck but I have deep (not 11 but 1111) lines between my eyes and crinkly eyes (it is the 1111 that bother me. All i see is 1111. when i look in the mirror.) He is a salesman. He is right about the jowls and neck muscles being connected. Duh Buy Karam MD

Even before he got to the vertical restore part i just knew he was going to say vertical restore is the only solution. lol i am sorry to say that these photos are not a good representation of before and after results. The after results are half achieved by someone fully awake, showered , hair done , make - up applied. apart from 2 ladies all the others just look like they had a good facial, had their hair and make up done and the photo turned out well. I am 54, i know what i am talking about. The only one thing i always agree with him is ,regular skin care routine plays a huge part in facial skin aging. I use Omilux Led Mask few times a week, vitamin C in the morning and or Niacinamide. I use very low strength Tretinoin 3 nights a week . I get amazing results, but you have to be consistent, i f i miss a week i feel like i have aged 8 years, so if you are time rich and money poor then do this, if you are time poor and money rich then go and see Dr, Karam .

Get on bioidentical hormones as soon as you go through menopause, I did and I noticed the difference right away. I hit menopause like I ran into a wall. Sudden hot flashes, memory fog, lack of energy, and I noticed my lips thinning out and a change to my skin. After 2 weeks of being on the hormones my lips plumped back up and my skin looked noticeably better. If menopause is the cause of a sagging face that should be the first place you start.

Plant based ones work..I'm vegan so I have a phyto oestrogen rich diet and i supplemented with wild yam, red clover, black cohosh etc.. face yoga everyday twice a day for a minimum of 15mins each time and washing cleansing and moisturisation. Rehydrate and just relax intl being the beautiful you you're supposed to be. ❤

There is absolutely no reason why plant based identical cannot be taken even with a history of cancer.. the thing cancer loves most is processed Sugar and Dairy.. neither of which are found in plants..your Dr knows nothing about bioidentical options so steer you away from.them. my sister in law had uterine cancer and a Dr luckily that did know and put her on them and she thrived. Your Dr's don't always know what's right .. they're paid to push drugs for Big P.

I will never forget my older 6th grade teacher’s advice. She said never be ashamed how you look and that she knows when she goes to the beach there will always be someone uglier than herself. 😅. Well that is one way to look at it. Do not sit home and stagnate it just makes you feel older and becomes depressing. We will always be our own worst critic and others opinions are not important in the grand scheme of things. Enjoy life!

Dr. No disrespect but why don’t you tell those of us ladies who no way, no how can afford six figure costs for surgeries, where and who to go to who can provide similar results for significantly less. We (most of us don’t have Beverly Hills money, or ever will). As you said you have your nurses and MA’s doing these with you all day long so why can you not lessen your cost for others not blessed with such affluence.

He is selling his services and trying to make lovely older women feel desperate. Also, I think his facelifts don't look so great. The women's eyes have all changed to look super wide or something. I would expect much more considering how he sells himself.

So tired of these same posts over and over again by cosmetic surgeons slamming everything except the very expensive surgery they perform. I must have had half a dozen pop up on my feed from this guy alone! One was enough. Very few have the money or inclination for something so drastic. Why not do something actually useful and spend more time educating about the simpler things regular people can do to improve their skin rather than constantly insinuate that spending more money than your house is all there is? How to make people more miserable than they are already. Way to go sir.

The correct diet, correct supplements, facial treatments early ideal to start in the 30s, Love M-8 and keeping up with daily facial exercises, makes a world of difference for aging. Face lifts are great but time consuming and MUST continue to be followed with facial treatments because after 50 the face will continue to age AFTER the wonderful face lift.

You have to remember that it is in the Surgeons interest to shill facelifts and discredit less invasive treatments like filler etc. I think of you go to a top facial aesthetics doctor, not a surgeon, you will get bang for buck. Obviously, the invasive facelift can yield greater results but at a cost.
