Super review. Realistic and without hype. If it doesn’t fix, then good and honest is to tell it. Best thing that would fix his slice, is to improve the swing. That would be the lesson from this trial.

Simple few tweeks on his swing steeper shoulder turn will assist to come more from inside which will reduce slice a lot. Like he said you can slice anything if you come over the top or turn it into a slap hook.

I’m going to put him right, but I want him to test the g430 sft driver first with his slice 😅 only because some people just can’t afford lessons, so they search for draw bias equipment, and if the g430 sft works, I’m going to test him with older generation sft’s

Yea the issue with these "anti-slice" drivers are...if you cut across the ball and deliver a glancing blow you will always slice it. You can even slice the ball with the club face slightly shut.

No offence to the guy but I think his driver is fine he should spend the money on lessons as unless he has an injury he should be able to hit his current driver for atleast 200-210 carry. The epic is one of the best drivers to come out in the last 5 yrs, the problem from what I can see is mainly not enough speed in the swing which is vital for the driver and this is shown as being a problem as he has a 115 ball speed which is not enough to make best use of a driver
@jameshopcroft87432 жыл бұрын

hi...i am trying to decide between the STEALTH 2 and the STEALTH 2 HD......i hit a fairly high straight ball...handicap 9 to 11.....am 58 years old with a swing speed of 90-94...but what i would like is a slight draw....would i find the HD drawing too much considering i am a straight ball hitter you think ? thx....cheers from Canada

I don’t think the stealth 2 HD will just give you that touch of draw you’re looking for. Id try if possible! Don’t worry, it won’t change your ball flight too much, very subtle 👌🏼

Watched both of the videos and for me, this all comes to technique. If this gent could improve his swing path it would reduce the curvature or his ball. Really insightful videos though and actually highlights to people who think buying new gear will fix there swings is never a good option. Lessons over gear every day of the week.

I am going to do some work with Andy on his swing. It’s just that we have a lot of followers in us, Australia, Canada, where a golf lesson is £150+, so they cave into all the club hype, thinking it’s going to solve all there issues.

These companies releasing new clubs every year is crazy. They tweak the previous model ever so slightly and slap the $600 price tag on the latest driver while they still charge $400 for last year’s model that’s not even a year old. I completely understand that it’s a business and the whole point is to make money but it is no way necessary to upgrade every year

Taylormades gimmicks have gotten old. Every new club is their most "forgiving and longest." Nothing new, just paint and a high price tag. This year's clubs are unimpressive. Money on lessons would be more beneficial then a new shiny driver.

That's the name of the game with all brands. There a limit to how well you can make a club. Too shite and no one buys it. Too good and no one buys whatever you put out next year

Gary could you not take this poor guy to the side and address, 2-3 items you can see immediately. I am no expert (a junior coach) but straight away there is simple fixes. 1: Grip to square the face. 2: Take away, 3: The driver down swing love to see him hit straight and enjoy it too 👍

Only using half a back swing and not hitting through the line. This a a swing problem. He needs a few lessons. Money better spent. He must get higher ballspeed. And might benefit from a lower flex shaft.
