Sleep apnea varies in severity. Treatment and rigid life style modifications are top priority for those with severe form. I highly recommend mental health support or even OSA group. It’s very hard to live with it as everyday is a hangover day with me. I feel tired of being tired and I do all that I can to help myself in every way I can. Please know that the cpap is not the cure and it’s only the beginning so disciplined and try hard to use it daily.

I get a sleep study done next week. My wife (we've been married just over a year), tells me I stop breathing while I sleep and my snoring is just horrible. I honestly think I've been doing this for 10 years, but just didn't know it. I'm worried about the sleep study for one big reason: I work night shifts. I don't know how they're going to do it, but if they bring me in at night to sleep, I hope they can get enough data on an hour or two nap. I just won't be able to sleep.

I recently had a choking incident that caused me to to fear choking and not breathing because it was so sudden.I have terrible anxiety now and I was about to fall asleep last night a couple of times but noticed my body get so relaxed I stopped breathing for a second.Throughout the years I’ve always had these symptoms too so I think that it does cause anxiety as well.but now I’m worried about my breathing every second of the day.

It's impossible to sleep with the cpap 😵‍💫 and I automatically take it off during the night, if I manage to fall asleep. It's a hell machine. As a teacher I can't afford to loose sleep any night so I gave it up. I focus on lifestyle and getting better, but the apnea is keeping me from loosing weight... 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️

It really does suck to have. One of the things I hate about it is the snoring. I got a dad who snores loud and my mom can't handle it sone tines, and when I snore my mom can't believe that was coming from me.
