Are the differences due to the different release pattern? Does Andy have a more passive or body release and Piers more arms/hands release? Trying to understand this in relation to my own swing. Great video, really interesting stuff! 🏌‍♂️⛳️👍

Yes definitely Tony. Piers has a lot of face closure where myself have a more quiet release.

I don’t think you addressed the fundamental issue with most amateur swings where they mostly have slice due to club path out to in naturally. And how to help correct that first. Feet aiming right and club aiming left with a typically steep downswing for most of us is highly likely to make it worst. This tip is cool but just wanted to point out that this is also easy for you as your swing is already super good and you can adjust club path the way you like (9 to 7.6 etc).

Nice to see both approaches. Thoughts on playing around with the lie angle @ address? By lowering the hands, and getting the club slightly toe-up, that could also promote a draw. Any watchouts there?

Wouldn't personally do that as when you swing it will naturally want to flatten out. having said that, if it works for you then it's all good.

Great tips, i have a set if TM R9's, the reviews on them says that they not the easiest clubs to fade or draw. any comments on that?

You should still be able to shape them it's just experimenting with some ideas like in this video so you can see what you have to do.

Watched this video last night, 100 balls at the range today, my natural shot is a small fade, well 100% I can’t hit a draw , not even close , if somebody was watching me they would say it’s my first time hitting golf balls and not a 9 handicap, looks like I’m sticking with my fade .

@@meandmygolf. Hi . It feels so unnatural, found it hard to get the alignment correct ,club face is wide open and end up hitting a slice / power fade . Always struggled with alignment , have worked hard to add a draw to my game , lots of lessons with local pro but still struggling. Will keep working at it .

I always did hit a fade/slice, now I hit a draw with a combination of both techniques. I do this for a bit longer than a year now, but now I can't hit a fade anymore 😂😂

This seems like completely opposite approaches. I don't get how the 2nd approach can draw the ball when you are hitting the ball with an open face. Have to try these out!

It all depends on your release patter and current face to path. If your face is open generally then the first would be better

Yes Gareth that is correct. That's why we say about the target and this is when in the video we suggest go extreme first so you can figure it out. Most golfers struggle to get the face closed to the path so we generally recommend that it's more left to start depending on the person. Hope that makes sense?

This never works unless you swing is neutral

That's not really the case Bob. Even if you don't swing neutral this still can work from our experience.
