For icons/thumbnails of attacks. On krita there is a copy function. So you can literally just select the square you wanna use, go Edit>Copy merged>Paste into New Image. Aaand then you have a new file with just whatever was visible in your selection at the time as a single layer, which you can then trim (if not perfectly square) and scale to the right size! I'm not an expert, but something like that probably exists on a lot of art programs, at least on desktop (I don't know mobile).

Of course you are! You just have to select the “character is not made by me” option and link the artist!

@@latteswiirl So it's my first art fight and I'm not sure about some things. Some of my OC are based on game which is totally fine as long as I credit the game it is based on. But what should I answer at "Did you design this character?" If technically the armour of the characters are from game (by game designers) but I chose the exact pieces for my characters? I hope I explained what I mean, please share your thoughts 🙏

@@Avalanchee3 ahh that's a really good question!! i think you can definitely say yes you designed the character, but then you should find the field that says "other credits" and you should put there that the original elements come from that game. i really hope that helps!✨ ;v;/

I used this video to test out my Divoom speaker I got today! ☆ ～('▽^人) this will be my first time participating in ArtFight since 2016 (for those in the comments, my username is the same as my yt handle and across all my other social media @/ellebastonart -- and i'm on team werewolves!! >:3) and your tips were all really good! Especially the point about comparing yourself, that's something I struggle with a lot in general as an artist (I thought I had overcome those issues in the past but I find that those feelings are still creeping into the back of my mind and it makes me sad ;w;) but especially in ArtFight I really feel a lot of pressure to have a bunch of references and pages for my OCs, drawing plenty of attacks every week, etc., and all that does is take the fun out of participating in the challenge -- of course, getting out of the comparison rat race is easier said that done and that's a whole different topic in and of itself, but I think being aware of that tendency and trying not to let it consume you is the first step to improving. Obviously receiving attacks/revenges is great, but honestly most of the fun imo is discovering new artists and their characters, or finding out that other artists you follow on social media already are participating when you weren't following them on ArtFight before! It's such a fun way to give back to artists that inspire you, especially if they already share a lot about their OCs on their profiles X3
