It honestly depends of the region/country. I would never use pena to convey embarrassment (I'm from Chile), but I have heard a peruvian friend use it.

I like to imagine that when Hunter first met Sara she didn't like her at all but saw her as someone whom she could easily manipulate. So she cynically "befriends" her with the intent of taking advantage of her stupidity to hopefully make some easy money. But over the course of their money making adventures, Sara's unbridled enthusiasm and commitment to Hunter's plans eventually worms their way into and warms her heart enough to where she starts to develop feelings for her and slowly begins to treat her better and actually care about her wellbeing and as a result scales back on her money making schemes to no longer put Sara in harms way or get her into trouble.

Not like that guy across the street who got upset when Hunter complimented him by saying his makeup covered up his pimples like corpse makeup covering up stab wounds. How could he not understand a compliment that direct? People were so basic. Sarah stepped out, looking around and spotting her girlfriend's flowing gothic dress. Giggling, she pranced over to Hunter. "Ohmigosh! You came to pick me up! How sweet!" Then she paused, looking at the word on the studio's window. "Aquamaton? Is that like...some new dance style?" "Kinda. It's a form of green burial, like cremation, but with like...water." Hunter explained, her half-lidded eyes expressing her boredom, even as she flashed her girlfriend a little smile. "Oh! Cool! So I bet it's like this, right?" Sarah asked, before launching straight into a dance. Her movements tantric and flowy, before finally ending with a dramatic pose, hands clasped over her chest, mouth agape, eyes wide. It was so corpse-like, so perfectly reminiscent of the stillness of death. "Exactly. I knew you'd get it. So...my place for dinner? I got those new candles you made me...I was thinking we could watch some TV and have a candlelit dinner." Sarah grinned broadly. "Ohmigosh, YES! C'mon. Let's go!" And with that, she linked arms with Hunter, and started dancing off toward her partner's apartment. Hunter walking beside her, undisturbed by Sarah's swaying and occasional pose striking. This was love, after all.

However the unexpected dance party does cause the funeral to last three hours longer than expected putting Hunter’s schedule horribly behind but she’s too busy loving Sara (who has dragged her to the dance floor) to care.

Hunter falls in love immediately They meet again while Sera is going on one of her long walks except she got lost and stumbled into Hunter trying to vandalise something but she's really intense and methodical about it and makes Sera wait until she's finished to show her the way home. Sera is super impressed

My head canon: Sara does in fact want to be an icebreaker dancer, as it's always been her dream to be "A Voice for the Voiceless(tm)". However, her intense facial expressions while dancing put people off so much, she usually leaves events more tense than before she got there. But she's hired often enough to get by, and is determined to show the world the power of dance. She admires Hunter for her "outgoing" nature because Sara was painfully shy as a child, and still considers herself to be shy. She enjoys strolling through the graveyard with Hunter and makes the candles used in the funeral home. Hunter is struggling to run her family's funeral home since her grandfather died and left it to her. She knows her craft well but her oversharing, her macabre nature, and her apathy towards life in general do not make her popular with the living. She truly believes that life could end at any moment and therefore does not make plans for the future. She finds Sara's zest for life charming and appreciates the consistent light she brings to this uncertain world. She loves to watch competition shows and admire the work of other creators (her favorite show is Cutthroat Kitchen). She is also a fan of street art and is just starting to put out her own work (under the name ???). She's new, but she has a talent for it and uses photos of Sara as pose reference :) Edited to add: they recently moved in together to the apartment above the funeral home to save on bills. Sara thinks it might be haunted but Hunter believes that death is final, and they argue about this often.

I was gonna say Jacob and Julia are so good at character design but honestly EVERYONE at Drawfee is good at character design. But the special sauce in this is Karina's...I must assume, fandom-trained ship-brain, like she just has such a deep knowledge of what makes characters compelling. Fully off to write a 100k fic about these two.
