Thank you for showing me how you do the the feathers. I admire your work. I have a young grandson who likes the art work of sewing. But Is afraid of being teased because it’s not manly he thinks. But I think showing him your art work will help him. Love to watch how smooth and easy this looks. But I know its going to take time to learn to be as good as you.

I'm so thankful that you are feeling well enough to get some time to work on bags for your Etsy-timquilts shop. Anyone would love to get one for Christmas. xoxo from Arizona.

I want to ask a favor. Would you test reactivating spray baste on a leather sandwich that has sat around for a while, by using a dry iron, instead of steam on the backside or maybe a press cloth on the front and let us know? I'm wondering if just the heat will reactivate it. (I only ask because I'm sure you have scraps left over after constructing the bags.) (Also from the smell of most spray baste I doubt they are water soluble, but I don't know.) Thanks for all you do, with love from Arizona.

I will give it a try......I always have my iron set for stem so it never occurs to me to use it dry :)

Seems like it hepls to use a hot iron with no steam from the back....not as good as fabric but it helps

The sound is very good now. That machine sounds very nice, I don't have a singer 66. They do sound different than the 15 and IF and totally different than the vs2.

You were saying large quilts are difficult to manuver. I noticed that your bags are usually double your throat space by triple the throat space. Is that by coincidence or do you plan the bag size to make manuverablity more manageable? xoxo from Arizona.
@TimLatimerquilts7 жыл бұрын
The bag size I make is just based on what size I started making (that was defined by the width of the jeans legs that I started making the bags with) it is just a coincidence that they fit in the machine so well
