Our world is full of characters
We root for and against them
They can cheer us up
Or make us weep
They capture us with song and plot
But there is more than this world, by an awful lot
Across all worlds, these characters can be broken down to very similar components
Their basic defining qualities are all the same, but their lives, motivations, and reputations can be vastly contrasting
Journey with me as we design
The heroes and villains of the Disney Multiverse!
Today we will be looking at so mean and rude, that her name is a homage to evil itself, Cruella de Vil.
Cruella is a favorite among most.
This walking skeleton of a villain is most notable for her ambitions and attempts to steal Dalmatian puppies for her fur coat
A truly wicked devil woman she is
As we know, all characters in the Disney multiverse has a singular defining characteristic shared among variants, and Cruella is no exception. Every Cruella across the multiverse tries to steal puppies, though their reasons vary depending on their reality.
We all know Cruella as a villain in our world, but there is another where she is actually regarded as a hero.
Our first stop will be earth 1691
In this universe, Cruella has given up the fashion world, in constant pursuit of stealing puppies from abusive homes and ensures they be relocated to loving families. She started by simply being a stealthy dog napper, but as her missions got bigger, upgrades were required. She used her reputation in the fashion world as well as her own financial luxuries to magnification wings from her past fur coats. They allow her to get in and out of her missions in a split second, and can be folded over her to create protection from attacks. She’s full of regret regarding her past lack of care for animals as they were slaughtered for her own gain and beauty, and wears her wings as a reminder to never let animals of any kind be abused again.
So heroic Cruella was a nice change of pace, but we all know, she is a villain at heart. In one reality, she was literally born in the underworld. Lets now journey to earth, 8790. In this world, Cruella is thought to be a folklore, that is, until they have encountered her. She is a demon with the sole intent of riding happiness from the world, by stealing and slaughtering in front of the owners. She squeezes the life out of her prey and proceeds to add the lifeless pelt to her ever growing blood splattered coat. Her motives are simple as she was born to rain down death to all dogs of the world.
