Love your work. I'm due to head down to Antarctica in Jan for a few weeks, so have been watching some of your videos about the crazy vehicles down there, and now enjoying the rest of your videos. I love your style of art, maybe you should give an update on this one as it's been 4 years. Cheers from New Zealand.

You are a very talented young man and I would like to thank you for allowing us into your world and life. Watching your videos have inspired me into getting back into writing and drawing which is helping me overcome demons of addiction and mental health issues. You have the perfect combination of new technology and old school dare I say eccentric interest. Wishing you every success in your endeavors Callum, thanks for allowing us in!!

wow, this is the kind of art I like! a few recommendations for places when you reach them, the Loch Morlich boathouse cafe in Aviemore is quite unique, in Dunkeld the Tay Bank pub and the Duchess Ann building along with the Birnam Arts are buildings with a close association in the community.

That's fabulous in idea and execution. I don't know the north too well, but was still able to pick out a few things I recognised. Nicely done on the Duke of Sutherland!

You should turn it into a book for kids. Have the whole picture on the cover and on each page have a character explore an area in detail along their adventure. You could maybe add in a where's waldo element too. Include some history etc. I think it would make an amazing book.

Man, this is amazing. I could stare at something like this for hours. Hope that when you finish it you have an accompanying list of buildings with respective placements/pictures. Would probably make a great sightseeing guide! Reminds me of an old rhyme/poem book I used to read, but is currently at my parents house. I can't remember the name, but I do remember it showed a road leading off to a cliff and, if I remember correctly, somebody looking over it. Really good book, and great art. This would fit right in, except it might be a tad bit to big :P

I'm a bit OCD about my pens even for just daily writing, more how smoothly they write and draw than anything. My favorite brand for that by far is Pilot, their gel pens with fine point 0.3mm ball tips are my favorite for general fine detail work. For super fine details I use Winsor & Newton fineliner pens which go all the way down to 0.05mm, but they're not a ball point, they have a felt tip nib which doesn't last as long, so I use those more sparingly.

Great work so far 👏 Maybe you could spray some 'fixative' on the back to help protect and strengthen the paper from damage?
@CalumRaasay5 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes I think I will have to come up with a more permanent fixture for it- the problem was I was moving and putting it in an exhibition so I had to constantly roll it up- I have a bit more space now so I might actually fix it to a board and prop it up in my studio permanently.

Pretty sure you will be aware of them, but Rotring Isograph are great pens, and they use ink cartridges so are reusable, smallest nib is 0.1MM thou. Again you may know the place already, but if not have a look at the CultPens, it's a great UK based online shop, they have a massive range of stuff.
