Always a pleasure to get to see your work process. I'm an avid user of the CSP 3D features and once you get the hang of it, it really is not as janky as it comes off as. You'll find yourself breezing through complicated set pieces due to the level of versatility it offers even with figuring out shadows. Any who excited for the next vlog!

I find myself re-watching your vlogs often. They put me in a good state of mind to work on my own comics and paintings. I can't wait to get a physical copy of this comic one day, hopefully in a hardback with medieval ornamentation adorning it. Keep up the great work!

Yeah ive never messed with the 3D models on there either. If I want a certain pose, I just go on Pintrest. Something about them always looked off to me lol. Also I get why you do the undersketches. I do them too(digitally), it gives me a good idea where to place the text bubbles for my comic, among other things.

24:50 the 3D isnt buggy, you just have to take an afternoon or two to sit down without time pressure and figure (hah) out the ins and outs of the CSP 3D functions. There is a mild learning curve to the 3D, so its going to feel janky if you do it without being used to it and while under a deadline.

I hope you’re right 😩 I’ll definitely work with it more

Because you now have 9 instead of 6 pages, are page turns going to give you problems? A story cliffhanger on an odd page is now on an even page
@JGVIllustrations7 күн бұрын
The page turns won’t be a problem because I will add bonus pages with sketches and such after the last scene. For now, it’s not an issue 😊

I normally have models on different layers when I use 3D models in Clips Studio Paint. That way, everything doesn't start moving, which is so annoying.
@JGVIllustrations4 күн бұрын
I tried having the models on separate layers but they would automatically rasterize. I probably didn’t do it right. I will have to re-try. Thanks for the tip!

Me gusta mucho ver tus vlogs mientras trabajo en mis propias ilustraciones y cómics, son muy cozy 🫶🏼

Great! Love your theme and also drawing style looks perfect for comics. Where you publish them?
@JGVIllustrations4 күн бұрын
Thank you! It’s really great to hear you think my style works, I often doubt myself. You can read the first two chapters in the shop tab of my patreon (patreon.com/jgvillu). I will be finishing chapter 3 next month and will publish it there as well but patrons can read every page as I draw them right now (it’s $1 a month to access). So far 25 pages of chapter 3 are available to read for members.

CSP is still pretty amazing...most painting apps don't have any useful 3D stuff...of course for just hte 3-D part Blender is the best (and free)

One of my first videos that got a lot of views was talking about how much it’s better than Photoshop (for illustrators) so I love CSP….I just wish that if they offer a feature, they should make sure it works lol!

What kind of iPad case is that? I really like the angle you were able to get with it.
@JGVIllustrations4 күн бұрын
I agree about the angle! It was a must when I got it. I actually unbox this new case and briefly talk about its features in the first video of this series: Revising Comic Pages (Clip Studio Paint, Reading) | Finishing Chapter 3 Art Vlog, Part 1 kzbin.info/www/bejne/imPEgKaqYr1nb6M. Just click on the chapter that focuses on it in the video. The product link in the video’s description.

I approve, 3d in clip studio is bad and lagging. Even if I am good in zbrush and 3ds max, using 3D in CLip Studio is horrible.
