Loved it Aaron, thank you! Whenever i want to sketch or draw, or paint for a long time I always search for your 2 hour + long videos, because I love listening to your stories about your old disney days, I love hearing you talk about anatomy and so on. For example I never knew that elephants had such strange tail with more hair on one side than the other. Just a really fun expirience it feels like we are in the same room having fun and doing what we are both passionate about!!

Great tip I always tense up when I start drawing even with my pencils

You manage to get me both inspired and depressed at the same time. And all that in 4 min flat while making an amazing drawing and talking about stuff. A dozen people in the world could match that.

Love it! So true too that it's like language, I never thought of that before. The signed copy of your book arrived today and I handed it over to my husband as a birthday/Christmas gift and he said I could've searched for a better gift for 10 years and wouldn't have found one because there is nothing better. :) The book is amazing and it was so great to make his day! Hope you have happy holidays :)

When you draw on the computer you can resize easily. Can you do a video explaining the different techniques you use to get the size right when you draw traditionally? I am a visual learner.

My problem is I’m worried too much about detail I guess. This morning I tried to draw a character, in different poses and in every drawing I started with a circle as the head and other shapes as the body. Well everything was out of proportion and I kept erasing and erasing. From watching this sketch, I see I need to focus on the overall shape and not worry about getting where the head needs to be and the spine and the hip. The bigger picture is hard for me to get through my head for some reason lol

What an amazing grasp on the gesture of an animal. You can see the forty years of craftsmanship in every little sketch. For me, It's hard to remember anatomical proportions of any creature, though I've learned several and more than once. It's akin to learning a language with an app rather than a native speaker; without constant practice, my observations tumble from the back of my head. I'm glad to have sources like yours to refresh myself when they do. Have a merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

Hello, Mr. Blaise! Merry Christmas from a massive fan. Your work is the kind that always leaves me wondering "how do you do that??", despite my 15-or-so-years of daily drawing practice. Thank you for such a useful and inspiring video.
