I hope you're doing better, or at least hanging in there. I'm ill, and watching these videos help me too. Think of yourself as a mountain, and this as a storm. It will be fierce, a literal force of nature, and the earth will be moved, the branches of trees snapped off. But when the dust settles and the sun comes back out, you'll still be there. It may be hard, but you can endure this. i hope you can pour your pain into your art, to purge yourself of it and transform it into something to beautify the world. I recommend taking it one feature of the style at a time so u slowly turn more cartoony :)

@Sama you could try and draw a real object or person and see what happens. When you're done, you could make the eyes bigger, or get rid of some shading and details to make it more cartoony, if it's too realistic. You could also try and set a time limit. That way you'll try and get the drawing done quickly, without adding in any unnecessary details. Oh, and if you exaggerate the features a bit, it'll help make it more cartoony, too. I'm not sure if this helps, but I hope it does! Have a wonderful day!

Every time you are disappointed in the quality of "expensive watercolor" I am dying inside! It's the paper, not the watercolour! Even cheap watercolours look good on good paper. I use cold pressed 300gsm watercolour paper and it has rough textures... It's really awesome to paint on it. I've never tried hot pressed ones... And I'm looking forward to trying it soon....
