Draymond Is going to have a GREAT career outside of basketball. Congrats to him on the TNT deal, & he might even coach a team one day, or be a GM. His mind and outlook on the game is incredible

I could definitely see him be coach with his iQ of the game. He has he’s questionable moments but definitely would be a pretty good coach overall.

Coaching is a lot harder for players GM is a lot better fit some times when guys play ok a high level it’s extremely hard for them to get the best out players because they expect them to know. Jordan is a better Owner than if he was a coach Larry bird better GM than coach

@@AMGTT Larry bird was a good coach in the NBA and helped that pacer team become even better and nearly ended the bulls dynasty in the 1998 ECF

@@AMGTT Many former players end up being great coaches and horrible gauges of talent. Phil Jackson was good and Doc Rivers was ok. Jordan and Lebron aren’t perfect when it comes to building teams though. All these HOF’ers gassed up Kwame Brown too.

These podcasts are such a huge part of this current “player empowerment” wave. I’m really glad that JJ helped give Draymond a comfortable platform to give a thorough telling of this story without it feeling forced b/c it’s a HUGE moment in NBA history when you weed through all the “in the moment” hate.

One thing I always liked about the Warriors is their style of play. For a team with the greatest shooter of all time on it, another guy who can get 37 in a quarter, they really do share the ball with the whole team despite of any of that.

It’s the key ingredient. Every pin down is backed up by an open cutter, who is backed up by another man shuffling to the open spot for the jumper. They play near perfect offense when the right players are together on the line up. Still miss Shaun Livingston working the midrange for an easy 8-15ppg off of the ball movement that creates the easy baskets

People get carried away by looking at Draymond's stats. They forget that he's playing with 2 (or more Allstar) players. His game isn't shown on the stat sheets. His game is shown on screen. He truly is the heart and soul of the warriors.

@@tennispie1 can I ask you what is OKC's future exactly? I'm a fan of that young core you guys have their with SGA and Giddey and even Dort. But with all those draft picks is there ambition to at some point maybe trade for a big name player? Having all those draft picks is cool but surely it's not just there to have damn near infinite selections the next few drafts. Can we see OKC among the West's best in the next say 3-4 years maybe? Some deep playoff runs maybe an NBA Finals appearance again

This is a story of how one of the greatest lineups happened in sports. The Hampton Five! It's great hearing Draymond set the record straight on the whole "crying in his car after the game" rumor. I'm intrigued that the Warriors had their sights on Durant for a whole season. Now, I wonder if KD would have gone to them if they hadn't lost in the Finals. We will never know the answer to that question.

I love Draymond's candor, and hindsight is 20/20 because I recall being so incredulous to the possibility back when the rumors bubbled up, but in retrospect, of course he went to the Warriors. Its like there really wasn't any other choice. They're just such an interesting team.

@@kx5517 Actually that warriors team lost a lot of players to acquire KD. GS didn't just add KD. LeBron Wade and Bosh were in their primes and all were top 10 players while two of them were were top5 with LeBron being number 1. Stop giving LeBron a pass for joining Wades team.
