I had a pretty bad day today but seeing you guys post a vlog from my local park made it so much better! I was there a few weeks ago for my birthday and there was hardly any queues on a Saturday! We went on storm force 10 four times in a row it was crazy... I'm so excited for the new rollercoaster as I remember when accelerator / Ben 10 opened!

6:24 I think the best thing to do with Shockwave is to do a track and train replacement to preserve the ride’s future. With new Sit Down Trains and new track from Bolliger and Mabillard (it may be an Intamin coaster but the track for this particular coaster is pretty similar to the ones on B&M and the two guys worked for another company which subcontracted with older Intamin rides)

We travelled to Drayton to ride Shockwave before they lose the stand up trains. We were told it was open, it also wasn’t on the closures board. Got to the ride gate to be told it wouldn’t open today and had been closed for a week. Had to deal with four different rude staff before a manager promised a refund. A six hour round trip from Wales wasted and not a mistake we’ll make again.

Stormforce 10 Is My favourite Water Ride in the UK

I remember going on the old Parachute Tower that used to stand in the area near the Big Wheel when it was known as Aerial Park. Also the Klondike Gold Mine rollercoaster that was new in 1995! Blimey!

I think the new coaster will be Wild West themed because of Sheriff Showdown and Drunken Barrels. Drunken barrels can be easily rethemed! So it would be a Wild West themed area

I must admit of all the water rides I've been on last month. Tidal Wave at Thorpe Park was the one I got the wettest on. That's because there isn't just that one big drop, but also getting splashed when you exit the ride and when you watch the ride from the view tower, and yes as you pointed out I got more wet from Storm Force than I did from Valhalla. As for Shockwave my main complaint about the ride is that it's too short. Surprised you didn't go on Sleipnir, the most hardcore ride in the park. The only thing that would make it better is improved theming throughout the ride.

Shawn, when I was at Drayton manor park on Friday the 18th of August 2023 I was outside of the old pirate adventure show building when I was leaving the burger kitchen what was funny, I saw a little girl knocking on the old double door entrance to pirate adventure and then she ran away back to her family and friends 😂 you’ve got to bare in mind, I was staying in the Drayton manor hotel in a Thomas and friends themed room with my mum and my sister!

I hope the new coaster is labeled as Thrill on RCDB, because Objectif Mars at Futuroscope seems like a similar ride, & that's labeled as Thrill too.

This is what it should be… Extreme - W/ inversions or over 100ft + any coaster with faster than 55mph Thrill - With a launch of 35mph or over or a max height of 40 - 100ft. Also contains wild mice and spinning coasters over 20ft tall. Family - Coasters with a layout that isn’t an oval. From 10 - 40ft. Any spinning coasters below 20ft Kiddie - Any conventional coaster below 10ft

Theory: Next Year, The Area the new Roller Coaster is situated at will rethemed the area into a western themed area. Sheriff’s Showdown and Drunken Barrels are also nearby so they are glad fully will be getting importance but what About Haunting… There are 2 Options DM has 1. Remove the Haunting as it would never fit with the western theme and replace it with a new attraction 2. Retheme Haunting into a abandoned Western Building

I think that this new Roller coaster for next year is going to be a Wild West Theme And I can't imagine Drunken Barrels getting a rethink and Sherrif Showdown could have a coat of paint and the Haunting could be rethought too!

I think there is a bigger hint in the construction walls to what the theme will be. Ay you, no peeking! The symbol for gold is AU, which is pronounced the same as ay you. It could be a wild west hint! As gold and the wild west go together like bread and butter.

On ride filming isn’t allowed. We worked with the park to film some on ride POV’s and these can be found on the channel as separate videos!

Yes, shorter queue times but less thrilling rides here.

@@robertgray1756 agreed, but at the same time I’d personally prefer this as I only got on 2 rides at Alton towers last week. Just wish they’d stay open later, it’s impossible to ride everything you want to in one day there, and considering the price I think that’s pretty appalling.

@@Scatter101s yes, two rides is terrible luck. First time I went to AT was in 1982 summer...was there 4/5 hours....4 attractions in that time, waited for log flume approx 70 minutes. When these parks have queues over 60 minutes they need to think about longer opening times or better still...more attractions to spread the people out.

I would also say Chessington may be the better park to visit during the summer due to the more varied attractions with the Zoo and Sealife centre plus rides. Perhaps similar up North with Flamingo land near Scarborough.

Oh and another one to consider is West Midlands Safari park. It has drive through safari animals plus quite a few rides plus animal enclosures round the rides that you can walk around.

Ayyyy Drayton Manor! I would love to go there one day, but I have had bad experiences with stand up coasters in the US so I don't know if its worth it to ride shockwave

We managed to fit them into our holiday and I used your videos showing off the parks to show them what they are about! We just did a 6 hour drive up to Wales and literally as I’m writing this we arrived in our flat in Cardiff about 5 minutes ago! I can’t wait as next Monday I’m going to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and a week after I’m going to Flamingo Land, both for the first time! Just wanted to thank you guys because without you guys I don’t know if my parents would have agreed to go, thank you so much!!!

I was queing up for shockwave and my friends were on stormforce 10 and they did the first drop they did the backwards drop then a man had a heart attack so they had to evacuate. Tuesday 4th July 2023
