I heard a great saying…. Genetics loads the gun but lifestyle pulls the trigger.

I got rid of the pressure of 10,000 steps and instead take a stroll outside and just enjoy. It immediately relieves my stress level and the sunshine and fresh air feels great. When I return whatever issues somehow find a resolution.

Love this video, Dr.Cywes, I’ve considered getting the test to see if I’m prone to Alzheimer’s, but after speaking to you, I think I just rather live my life thinking that I have that Jean and doing everything I can to avoid having Alzheimer’s

Great information! I recently began volunteering at a horse farm (grooming) and at a parrot sanctuary (cage cleaning and interaction). Contact with the totally honest animal spirits keeps you on your toes and relaxes at the same time.

@@DanielBlatz-t3v Congratulations! One year is quite the milestone. Now, rinse and repeat. You've got this. Best thing I've ever done for myself. Going on 7 years after 41 years of drinking and drugging. If I can do it, anyone can. It's truly living life; only wish I hadn't been so afraid to do it before. Go get yourself another sober day!

Some NEW pearls here that I hadn't considered. I loved this! I won't test for the gene. It's in my family on my Dad's side. I know I'll just worry more if I test positive. So I live my life as if I tested positive and try to do everything that I learn of to prevent the development of Alzheimer's which is exactly what I would do if I did learn that I carry the gene.

After a busy working life I have retired my son is out in the world making his own way. I actively plan every day what to do that adds meaning to my life. Yesterday I went to the gym and I always walk the kilometre there and back today I'm going into town but not my town but the neighbouring town so I can do something different. I have observed that those family members that are declining cognitively have a tendency to stay at home and I often ask them to go out with me but they find loads of excuses. They also lose all their hobbies and interests they become a shell of who they once were. what has happened is they didn't use it so they lost it. So sad.

When your liver is not functioning properly despite eating a carnivore diet it affect the brain and its clarity. I am losing my balance quite a lot and exercise daily but I have brain fog most of the time and feel as if I've had a couple of stiff whiskeys when all I've drunk is water. Getting the liver healthy is my problem.

Trying not to walk around feeling screwed, but rather to take some steps to mitigate decline and prolong healthy function. Dr. Cywes could you share your opinion of the m.i.n.d. diet?

First of all you must get right with your Maker .... then if you do die of dementia ... you will know where your destiny is. Most people like to fill up their day with senseless things (like watching YT videos!)... in order to wipe out the sound of God. You were made for a purpose dear friends - and your soul will be restless until it rests in God. Jesus Christ died for you, to bring you to God, and save your soul from sin and death. You need never worry again about dementia and death ... if you have been 'born again.' Cry out to your Creator to save your soul and bring you into the Kingdom of God. May God reveal Himself to you today my friends ... and may He bless you all.

I don’t think it is smart to take exogenous ketones unless you are also on a low carb diet. High ketones and high insulin is a very unnatural state.

It's an old paternal paradigm that our brains are superior to all other life. No other life is self destructive and that's where our brains lead us time after time. Our brains don't learn quickly so we make the same mistakes over and over and over again. Our brains are egocentric, filled with puff and detrimental needs that jeopardize our survival.
