Very true; however, drink 16oz of water as soon as you get up, then have your coffee later on, at least 15 minutes after having the water.

This guy is so brilliant about clearly explaining the physiology of all the food / hormone interactions - versus my primary care MD & Endocrinologist who just say "you will lose weight if you just move more and eat less". They have never said, "Do not snack, and here is why..."

So they have been wrong all along as always. They used to say it was the best meal of the day...well, except most people eat junk in a hurry to get to work living the rat race. Just use mindset to pretending u r fasting...prayer is good while u r at it.😊

This doesn't make sense to me because there is evidence of indigenous people developing agriculture on the large scale. They were actually able to feed nations of people. The evidence is not easy to identify because they followed a practice that believed in not scaring the Earth so a lot of their efforts were very sustainable and left minimal traces. But discoveries are being found. The fellow who America is named after reported back to the queen that the land here was wild so he could be given the freedom to exploit it when it actually was cultivated by the indigenous people.

Are there any resources like yours for people living on minimal income, MedicareAdvantage plan with secondary Medicaid. My family member is 74, long term obese w all the metabolic syndrome illnesses except diagnosed NIDDM: cardiologist got PCP to order Ozempic. He can not afford a CGM, a KetoMojo or similar, can’t afford the keto ‘drops’ you mention for after treatment ketosis assistance. There has been no counseling about pre-, during, or post-treatment diet or exercise AFAIK. 😢

FINALLY a real explanation that makes sense, after most of a lifetime of not being able to completely depend on my brain because my cognition would just go away, especially 4-5 hrs after my last meal. Now, at the age of 70, I know to taper off the carbs. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I love how so many people are ignoring the "experts" and eating the way they feel they should eat, with a high fat diet & no/minimal sugar, and they feel great 💯 keep it up!

no is was not nicotine...nicotine receptors ARE ON EVERY CELL AND WE NEED NICOTINE, NICOTINE IS in many foods...what was and is killing people still today is the fluoride water, the fertilized soils and depleted soil and the other chemicals sprayed on plant and the chemtrails...also the tobacco paper was also carcinogenic.

Still disagree with you doc. If carbs where irrelevant then having carbs would not throw you out of ketosis. The body will maintain its preferred metabolic mechanism i.e. ketosis or at least there would be a gradual transition. The body's ability to metabolise carbs and store additional reserves as fat is clever adaption for times of scarcity, but as you rightfully state the good times in the modern diet never end.

Can any vascular damage be reversed? I've been in ketosis for 3.5 months and lost 20 pounds (my BMI is now 22). My hypertension hasn't subsided and my triglycerides are still 140. I'm female and 60 yo. This video has me scared, like I waited too long to change my diet. I'm having a calcium scan tomorrow.

Is eating sugar objectively worse than smoking? I know being obese is worse than smoking (leftists would SCREAM at this info) but I wonder if the same is true of sugar. Say 10 oreos a day vs 10 cigarettes a day; which is is more detrimental to our health?
