Sometimes you think a narcissist is really trying to know you. But he is actually looking for weaknesses to use against you later and to know how to best manipulate you

No way a narcissistic person would admit this lack of love. I would be met with high defensiveness and blame-shifting if I presented this video to him, and even anger.

Love and Empathy are Action (in my eyes). Both can not be accomplished if the Soul does not live in Truth! (again, in my eyes). Hence..having a heart filled with the understanding (accountability) and surrender to God, allows one to live in Truth and therefor Love & have Empathy! Those without God/Truth/Love/Empathy… are often Toxic and bring down others as they try and put a square peg in a round hole, called life!

Wow! This is so truthful and the fact that no extension has ever been given and this is hard reality of the experience I litterally have had in relation to what you are sharing. This is really crushing! How do I recover from the damage and the mess?

Understand that do not have the ability to love. They destroy others lives. I grew up with narcissists and I’m 43 and it’s taken many years of therapy to heal from profound abuse, rejection, abandonment to name a few. A true narcissist is not capable of significant healing, self reflection and connection. They can head to therapy if they like but just not on your watch.

I am 70 years having spent most of my life in the Pacific Northwest, and having lived in other places in the country at times. I have never seen so many unloving attitudes and responses as I have seen in this region of the country, Washington and Oregon. When we lived in the South for a short time we saw what real love and kindness were on a cultural level. Here the base culture is based on narcissism. This is the most selfish and rude culture I have lived in, to the point that rudeness is completely accepted here. I am discouraged by it and have become more reclusive after moving back to this region. Sadly the culture here infects family members to the point that they have become like the culture they live in.

That is toxic culture you are talking about. That culture we are forced to under needs to die one day. Society will tear itself apart, if it doesn't.

A lot of people can love but they can't keep their mouths shut with opinions no one wants to hear and everything has to be their way all the time. I guess this kind of person ranges from being a narcissist at worst to being a selfish, self centered person at best. In today's world everyone knows someone like this.

So, to answer my question, does my narcissistic mother loves me. Well, not for who I am, that's for sure. Just what I can provide and bring to her. She would try to gaslight and brainwash me back to Christianity if she does. Same with my narcissistic sister who threw me under the bus enables her bad behavior.
