Being vegan or having a plant based diet is not only healthier, but also ethical and good for our environment. I'm almost 1 year vegan now. I've done all the tests and the general check up after 6 months of being vegan and it works! my blood chemistry is really good. I'm really happy that I've changed my lifestyle.

Hi. I have the same problem. GERD and sudden heart burn. It all disappear when I transitioned to a plant-based diet. Its on going for a month now.

Same diet. My doctor advised me to only eat fruits and veggies and surprisingly after more than a month I lost 10 kilos and the symptoms of my gerd had disappeared.

currently doing keto diet(from 63kgs to 55 - 3months only), effective po siya Doc pero after hearing you...natakot ako bigla kasi i am more on high fats talaga. chicharon, bbq at taba ng pork. grabe i regained my senses after hearing your vlog. sa keto, strawberry and avocado lang then pili lang ang veggies, halos lahat prito. So, starting tomorrow, I'll change my food preferences na, maybe a mix of a calorie deficit and plant base. Alagaan natin ang HEART natin.. Thank you so much Doc, you're a lifesaver.

Finally, a filipino dietician/physician who talks about plant based diet!!! 🙌 I had type 2 diabetes, plant based diet lang nakapag reverse. My then doctor said, ( 2 yrs ago) I would be taking meds forever! Glad I ran into plant based diet and its effects on the body early this year (January 2022). In 3 months no more meds and all my markers are normal, actually better than ever. I have so much energy kaya I started working out on my 4th month. Lost 40 lbs in 6 months. Best decision I ever made. ❤️

Full time vegetarian here!! I noticed that I gain more energy than before when I consume meat. Hindi na din ako grumpy or irritated before kasi masyado akong moody now I can feel na less irritable ako and maganda mood ko palagi and lastly mas bumata ako tignan.. physically they say I looked younger than my age and I'm blooming. Thanks to plant base!!! 🌱🌱🌱

yes doc,naka whole food plant based diet , no oil mother ko since last year , reversed na po diabetes nya . nasa 84 lagi FBS nya no meds , even HbA1C normal . super helpful ng plant based diet 💕

Maganda talaga ang plant based simula nung ginawa ko to naging regular mens ko at kung dati hirap ako matulog ngayon sarap ng tulog ko parang baby haha ..and ginawa ko din to sa baby ko never sya nagkasakit 😁 Kaya tama ang sabi ng matatanda ang gulay ay pampahaba ng buhay😁

I can attest to this topic Doc. I started to change my diet. I only eat meat once or twice a week or pag wala na akong choice. Almost 1 year na, hindi ako sinisipon or inuubo. Wala pa akong ini.inom na vitamin c nyan.

Sedentary, yep, ⬇️ lifestyle. Additives-loaded Junk,yep., ⬇️ lifestryle.. I corrected my midsection/visceral fat by keto but now learned how to route my will for controlled portion, and large meal intervals, so I am increasing my carbs, but maintain my mainly veggies and plant proteins, tweak down on my plantsourced-fat intake.. I do eat eggs but I learned to eat it mostly with yolk half-cooked to retain some of its lecithin. My only problem now is how to normalize my circadian rhythm (Missed sticking to a regular sleeping schedule most of the time).

Hi doc, Sana makapagshare din po kayo ng video kung anong best diet para sa aming may mga endometriosis. Anu-ano ang mga dapat at hindi dapat kainin. Been diagnosed with endo 3yrs ago. Simula ng nalaman k etong skit ko lagi po ako ngsesearch sa mga kakainin ko. Mas okay daw po mga anti-inflammatory foods. God bless po doc

I think this is a mediterranean diet; a diet I am about to start. Anyway I was on a low carb diet. Nagsawa ako sa karne, namimiss ko na mga gulay at prutas na bawal sa low carb. Almost five years vegan/100% plant-based. Ive been on restrictive diet to prevent prediabetes and gall bladder removed but since going down the greener and more compassionate path, my blood sugar has since been consistently normal, and the best part is that I enjoy more variety of foods despite not eating any animal products. Nagstart din yung awakening ko sa lifestyle na to kay Dr. Greger, and I super appreciate him. Hope to meet him someday. Baka na meet mo na sya, doc? I believe nakapunta na sya dito. 🙂 Ok din yung talk and book nya on pandemic. Please do a video on that as well para maliwanagan ang mga Pinoy on the other causes of pandemics that are not usually known. As Filipinos we really should shift to eating more sustainably and ethically to help our farmers as well. Nakakatulong tayo ng mabuti if tangkilikin natin ang maliliit na magsasaka at mangingisda na lagi dehado sa food system natin. 🙂 Thank you so much for this video I have always referred people who want to be more educated on nutrition to your channel kasi very approachable and easy to digest ang information ninyo. Very informative doc, thank you! Ang mahal na ng mga gulay. We tried to plant it sa amin. Alugbati, kamote and kangkong. May tomatoes din. Sulit at matipid. Since wala kaming malaking bankanteng lote, sa plant box lang namin ginawa and sulit naman sya...

Hello po doc. Ask question lng po. Sabi ng iba nkkpgvpataas ng uric acid ang mga beans and peas at mga veg katulad ng spinach, brocolli , cauliflower. Sabi nmn ng iba ay hindi. Ang nkkpg pataas dw po ng uric acid ay ang mga animal products. Pwde po bng pkibigyang linaw ito. Ksi dpo b ang mga nbanggit n veg, beans and peas ay sub for protein intake. Thanks po and God bless

Hi Doc, Regarding plant diet, ano po ang reaction nyo dito. There are several compounds in the foods we eat classified as anti-nutrients. Examples include: Glucosinolates in cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage)-can prevent the absorption of iodine, which may then interfere with thyroid function and cause goiter. Those already with an iodine deficiency or a condition called hypothyroidism are most susceptible. Lectins in legumes (beans, peanuts, soybeans), whole grains-can interfere with the absorption of calcium, iron, phosphorus, and zinc. Oxalates in green leafy vegetables, tea-can bind to calcium and prevent it from being absorbed. Phytates (phytic acid) in whole grains, seeds, legumes, some nuts-can decrease the absorption of iron, zinc, magnesium, and calcium. [2,3] Saponins in legumes, whole grains-can interfere with normal nutrient absorption. Tannins in tea, coffee, legumes-can decrease iron absorption.

Dex karamihan ng mga sakit na malala ngayon ay dulot ng eating lifestyle habbit ng mga tao pero depende siguro sa location because sa mga probinsya plant base sila karamihan dun pero sa syudad nako po nagkalat ang fast food chain na mahirap tanggihan haha. Ako din doc na admit nitong kailan lang.dhil pandemic lumaki talaga ko.sabi ng doctor ko hypertensive kc sumakit ang ulo kaya nagpadala ko hospital kahit kasagsagan ng covid..now ok napo ako doc .kaya lang doc ayoko maggamot mas ok sana sakin mag dyeta nalng para bumaba ang chooleterol ko at uti ko.kasabay din pala doc bumaba din ang potasuim ko dati.

I just saw this video and while watching I noticed the book behind you, It's refreshing na may nakikita akong nagbibigay ng advice despite their profession they're also educating themselves from other professionals in the field! Great job Dr. Dex! By the way, For those who are wondering the book is called How NOT to DIET by Dr. Michael Greger Also for fats, the best kind of fats are from plant based! Almonds, Avocado at marami pang iba - based din sa research na people who has higher fat in their diet burns more calories! it doesn't mean na need mong kumain ng baboy at meat products dahil you can get the healthy fats from plant based foods. (I hope this helps!) I am mostly vegetarian but planning to go raw vegan.. still undiagnosed for Lupus and ive searched alot about raw vegan and all of them said there conditions got better and better each day when they go raw vegan.

Naniniwala ako dito. Gulay at prutas halos kinakain ko with yakult. Di ako dinadapuan kahit man lang sipon buong taon.

Ang hirap lang kasi gumawa ng plan. If it's repetitive we may suffer with deficency. Always ask a nutritionist before doing any diet.

@@DrDexMacalintal yes doc nagtanim n po kame nang kamatis at kalamansi. maliit lang po kase house namen, wala din po kameng pwesto for gulay na iba. next week po bibili na din po kame nang seeds for potato, okra,sibuyas and talong.
